Jankowicz championed the debunked Steele dossier and promoted the Hunter Biden laptop as an instrument of Russian influence, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/18\/nina-jankowicz-resigns-disinformation-governance-board-paused\/\">according<\/a> to the Daily Caller. While the pair of appointments provoked scrutiny, thousands of other presidential hires remain hidden from the spotlight. <\/p>\n<p>Hamilton compared the effort from America First Legal to compile records of administration officials to ProPublica\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/projects.propublica.org\/trump-town\/\">Trump Town<\/a>\u201d database, which made the same information of nearly 4,000 presidential appointees publicly accessible. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople, you know, highlighted it and used it to try to write stuff up about people who were trying earnestly to execute President Trump\u2019s agenda,\u201d Hamilton said. \u201cWell, the same has not really been true for the Biden administration. And so this is about transparency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Miller, a founding board member of America First Legal, told The Federalist that Biden\u2019s efforts to muscle a radical agenda through the administrative state has made the effort all the more urgent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe could go through it for two hours, every crazy, unpopular, often illegal policy and agenda item that is being pushed through,\u201d Miller said, citing a litany of examples from the weaponization of the Justice Department that has <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/16\/doj-whistleblower-documents-suggest-merrick-garland-lied-about-the-targeting-of-parents-as-domestic-terrorists\/\">labeled<\/a> concerned parents as \u201cdomestic terrorists\u201d to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/biden-energy-market-gas-oil-green-energy-fossil-fuels-production-high-prices-11655924583\">war<\/a> on American energy. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn an administration, to be blunt, where the chief executive can\u2019t figure out what chair to sit in without somebody writing him a note card telling him \u2018you enter the room, you sit down, you thank people\u2019 and so on,\u201d Miller said, \u201cthe appointed political staff has an unprecedented, arguably unrivaled degree of power over the direction of the country and over the lives of the 300-plus million citizens living in that country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton said that while the litigation was launched 12 months after the initial FOIA requests were filed, a successful effort should compel disclosure of information \u201cfrom anyone who has been hired during the Biden administration at each agency until the time of production of records.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Tristan Justice is the western correspondent for The Federalist.
