Brnovich is running for U.S. Senate in the hopes of unseating incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.).<\/p>\n<p>An attorney for Trump\u2019s political action committee, Save America, sent Brnovich a cease-and-desist letter rebuking the campaign\u2019s penchant for mentioning Trump in fundraising communications,\u00a0The\u00a0Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/07\/04\/trump-cease-desist-fundraising\/\">reported<\/a> on July 4.<\/p>\n<p>The letter threatened legal action if Brnovich did not stop using Trump\u2019s image and name in \u201cmisleading ways,\u201d the newspaper reported.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Screen-Shot-2022-07-06-at-2.30.00-PM.png\"><\/a> Lawyers for the Save America PAC have said ads like this one that ran on Facebook in December 2021 and January are unauthorized and not allowed. (Facebook) <\/p>\n<p>The news outlet noted an example where the PAC lawyer referred to a recent email from the Brnovich campaign with the subject line \u201cAccount Termination Notice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The email told recipients they\u2019d lose the \u201cchance of continuing to receive our Trump polls, Trump rally alerts, and 2024 endorsement opportunities\u201d if they didn\u2019t donate to Brnovich\u2019s Senate campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour use of President Trump\u2019s name, image, and\/or likeness is likely to deceive individuals into believing [former] president Trump supports, endorses, or otherwise promotes your<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former president Donald Trump has been trying, unsuccessfully, to block unauthorized use of his name, image, and likeness, especially in campaign fundraising communications, according to recent reports.
