Wolff, a pioneer of psychosomatic illness, once wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When male wild rats were introduced into established rat colonies, most of the interloping rats died within hours after the resident rats viciously attacked them. \u00a0The rats died, not from their injuries, but from a deep sense of despair after being \u201ccancelled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fact that the interlopers were excluded from the group seemed to make them more vulnerable,\u201d Wolff wrote in his essay The Mind-Body Relationship (1961). \u00a0For humans, \u201c\u2026 bone-pointing, hexing, and excommunication of transgressors of tribal mores may shorten life if not immediately kill a man.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A well-known example of bone-pointing is the kurdaitcha man, a kind of shaman who is given the power to punish the guilty in certain Aboriginal groups in Central Australia. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When the shaman points a bone at the guilty, they\u2019re expected to die. \u00a0And most do. \u00a0Deeply believing they\u2019ve been cursed by some outside force, victims become listless, deny themselves food and water, and die within days. \u00a0Death, say doctors, is psychosomatic and self-willed, caused mostly by an extreme emotional response to fear. \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In America, cancel culture, tyrannical group pressure, criminalizing political differences, and ostracizing black conservatives as \u201cUncle Toms\u201d has become a type of social and political bone-pointing. \u00a0 With no regard for truth or facts, backward \u201cshamans\u201d point the bone willy-nilly at those who dare to differ with the deeply flawed political superstitions of the group. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pointing is not designed to honestly debate issues but to kill opposition, kill reputations, kill relationships, and kill independent thinking. \u00a0Political bone-pointing is rat-like behavior that uses group exclusion and irrational fear to exploit a person\u2019s primal need for a sense of belonging. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nowhere has it been so destructive for so long than inside established colonies within the black political class who viciously attack black conservatives as \u201csellouts,\u201d \u201ccoons,\u201d \u201cOreos\u201d and \u201cUncle Toms.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you disagree with the groups\u2019 basic political philosophy \u2013 mainly that big government is the cure for the exaggerated impacts of slavery and Jim Crow \u2013 you are sentenced to political death. \u00a0Your \u201clived experience\u201d doesn\u2019t matter. \u00a0Your excruciating journey to the top of your profession from nothing doesn\u2019t matter. \u00a0Your color doesn\u2019t matter. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Commit the cardinal sin of thinking differently and you\u2019re an interloper, a racial Benedict Arnold, and a hater of your own race. \u00a0 For many blacks, the primal fear of racial exclusion is extreme. \u00a0Magnitudes worse that being called the n-word.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s likely the reason why it\u2019s much easier for the world\u2019s richest black woman, Oprah Winfrey, and twice-elected world\u2019s most powerful man, Barack Obama, to just toe the racial line. \u00a0Borrowing Shelby Steele\u2019s view on white guilt, they harbor black guilt. \u00a0Not that they&#8217;re guilty of anything, but they are in terror of being labeled as an Uncle Tom, a stigma that carries real costs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No black conservative in modern history has been more pointed to as America\u2019s archetypal Uncle Tom than Justice Clarence Thomas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Since the historic <em>Dobbs<\/em> decision overturning <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, a pack of black politicians and celebrities mindlessly excoriated the decision with an extra dose of pent-up venom for Thomas\u2019s dissent. None was louder than Samuel Leroy Jackson, a reliable shaman of drive-by bone-pointing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow\u2019s Uncle Clarence feeling about Overturning Loving v Virginia??!!\u201d Jackson tweeted, referring to the high court\u2019s decision to legalize interracial marriage. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Just like that, Jackson defamed Thomas as an Uncle Tom in a nine-word tweet that went viral, about an articulate, painstakingly thought-through dissent that the actor, more than likely, never read. \u00a0Jackson, by his own admission, is not big on the details of politics but is inarticulately vulgar when talking about the headlines.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI voted for Barack because he was black,\u201d he told Ebony magazine. \u201c\u2019Cuz that\u2019s why other folks vote for other people \u2013 because they look like them. \u2026 [Obama\u2019s] message didn\u2019t mean sh*t to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On his tweets against Trump to Esquire magazine: \u201cThis motherfu@ker is like ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy sh*t,\u201d he said. \u00a0\u201cAnd the people think that\u2019s okay. \u00a0It\u2019s not fu@king okay. \u2026 And I wouldn\u2019t give a fu@k if I was a garbageman and I had a Twitter account; I\u2019d tweet that sh*t out. \u00a0I\u2019m not thinking about who I am and what my job is when I do that sh*t.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a political sense, Jackson is a garbageman. \u00a0The curse-laden incantations he regurgitates is pure garbage based on fiction. \u00a0It\u2019s hard to believe that Jackson and so many others who so recklessly defame great black conservatives as Uncle Toms, have ever even read Harriet Beecher Stowe\u2019s book, Uncle Tom\u2019s Cabin, in the running for the most influential book in American history.<\/p>\n<p>Stowe was the \u201clittle woman who wrote the book that made this great (Civil) war,\u201d as Lincoln described her. \u00a0The novel \u2013 banned in the South and second in sales only to the Bible \u2013 sold 10,000 copies in a week after it was published, 300,000 in a year, and 1.5 million copies in one year in Great Britain.<\/p>\n<p>To bottom-line it, Chapter 40 of the book captures the real Uncle Tom character that Stowe created. \u00a0He was a devout Christian. \u00a0Samuel L.
