Wade<\/a> \u2014 the 1973 decision claiming that the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution protects abortion. Buffer Insurance responded to the move in a Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bufferinsurance\">post<\/a> and announced several new benefits for employees welcoming new children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSecular companies are paying the travel costs for employees to abort babies out-of-state,\u201d the company said. \u201cToday we are announcing that Buffer will pay the costs for our employees who birth babies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among the \u2018big ideas\u2019 listed on Buffer\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bufferinsurance.com\/about-us\/\">website<\/a> are \u201cFaith\u201d and \u201cFamilies &#038; Futures.\u201d The company is also \u201cveteran-led and veteran-owned.\u201d Beyond medical expenses associated with pregnancy and paid leave for both mothers and fathers with newborns, Buffer will pay for any medical costs that emerge due to the adoption of a baby.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019d like to learn how you can provide these benefits to your employees, let us know,\u201d Buffer told other employers. \u201cWe have ready-to-use policies you can add to your employee handbooks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Texas is among several states that implemented additional abortion regulations after Roe v. Wade was overturned. Attorney General Ken Paxton (R-TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KenPaxtonTX\/status\/1540339215581470723\">announced<\/a> that abortion \u201cis now illegal in Texas\u201d on the day of the ruling.<\/p>\n<p>As Buffer Insurance\u2019s post mentioned, several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/here-are-the-woke-businesses-vowing-to-cover-travel-costs-for-employees-abortion-tourism\">major corporations<\/a> are funding interstate travel to obtain abortions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur company remains committed to removing barriers and providing comprehensive access to quality and affordable care for all of our employees, cast members and their families, including family planning and reproductive care, no matter where they live,\u201d executives from entertainment firm Disney said in a memo obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-decision-disney-sends-memo-to-employees.html\">CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Investment bank Goldman Sachs said in a memo obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/goldman-sachs-to-cover-abortion-costs-for-women-to-travel-out-of-state-2022-6\">Business Insider<\/a> that it would extend healthcare travel reimbursement policies \u201cto include all medical procedures, treatments and evaluations, including abortion services and gender-affirming care where a provider is not available in proximity to where our people live.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Google, a subsidiary of technology conglomerate Alphabet, will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/google-to-scrub-location-history-for-women-who-visit-abortion-clinics\">erase user data<\/a> for people who visit abortion clinics. \u201cSome of the places people visit \u2014 including medical facilities like counseling centers, domestic violence shelters, abortion clinics, fertility centers, addiction treatment facilities, weight loss clinics, cosmetic surgery clinics, and others \u2014 can be particularly personal,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden reacted to the end of Roe v. Wade by saying that he would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/im-going-to-do-everything-in-my-power-biden-calls-to-suspend-the-filibuster-and-nationalize-abortion-law\">support ending the filibuster<\/a> to pass nationwide abortion laws through the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to codify Roe v. Wade in the law, and the way to do that is to make sure the Congress votes to do that,\u201d Biden said at a news conference in Europe. \u201cAnd if the filibuster gets in the way, it\u2019s like voting rights, we provide an exception for this, or an exception to the filibuster for this action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite Biden\u2019s proposal to suspend the filibuster \u2014 the 60-vote threshold required to pass most legislation through the Senate \u2014 lawmakers have repeatedly rejected efforts to strengthen federal abortion statutes in recent months. The Women\u2019s Health Protection Act failed by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/senate-rejects-democrats-attempt-to-gut-state-pro-life-laws\">46 to 48<\/a> margin in February and by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2022\/05\/11\/1097980529\/senate-to-vote-on-a-bill-that-codifies-abortion-protections-but-it-will-likely-f\">49 to 51<\/a> margin in May.
