Kaitlin Armstrong, 34, was escorted by US Marshals at the George Bush International Airport on Saturday and was later booked in the Harris County Jail.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Austin woman accused of killing world class cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson May 11 has been captured in Costa Rica.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fz9FiUyWjQ\">https:\/\/t.co\/fz9FiUyWjQ<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jkRzqqgv90\">pic.twitter.com\/jkRzqqgv90<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Marshals (@USMarshalsHQ) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USMarshalsHQ\/status\/1542539990340714497?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 30, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Exclusive footage from KTRK showed Armstrong in handcuffs with her new look after she cut and dyed her hair. Officials believe she may have also gotten cosmetic surgery. The suspect is accused of killing 25-year-old Moriah Wilson after Wilson spent the day with Armstrong\u2019s boyfriend. According to an affidavit, Wilson had previously dated Armstrong\u2019s boyfriend, cyclist Colin Strickland. She will be transferred to Austin where she faces murder charges.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Marshals Service elevated the Kaitlin Armstrong investigation to major case status early in this investigation,\u201d said U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Texas Susan Pamerleau. \u201cThis likely played a key role in her capture.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Authorities said Armstrong sold her vehicle May 13, then flew from Austin to Houston shortly after being questioned that day by authorities about Wilson\u2019s death.
