Following his last fight, Cerrone laid his black cowboy hat and gloves in the center of the ring, then joined UFC announcer Joe Rogan.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cDonald, it\u2019s been a special, special career my friend,\u201d Rogan said. \u201cYou\u2019ve had some beautiful moments inside this octagon. Tell me what\u2019s going on right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cerrone, who had just lost by submission to Jim Miller in UFC 276, surveyed the cheering crowd and told Rogan his heart was no longer in the career that made him a legend.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI don\u2019t love it anymore, Joe,\u201d said Cerrone, who was joined by his young sons. \u201cI\u2019m going to be a movie star, baby. But Miller simultaneously kicked Cerrone in the torso, then scrambled to catch the storied fighter in a guillotine to force the tap-out.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Miller tied the UFC record with 40 fights, and his 16 submissions are tied for second with Cerrone.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIt feels great, but it\u2019s a hard act to follow,\u201d Miller said of Cerrone\u2019s retirement announcement. \u201cDonald\u2019s a legend. He\u2019s a guy I\u2019ve looked up to and followed. We\u2019re going to miss him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Cerrone, 39, who has fought in some of the sport\u2019s most memorable bouts of the last decade, has 23 UFC wins, tied for second-most all-time.
