Wade pro-life laws have been delayed by a series of injunctions that have resulted in women continuing to be able to have abortions.<\/p>\n<p>Many have long anticipated that the end of Roe v. Wade would see a flurry of pro-life legislation passed across America.<\/p>\n<p>Even before the Supreme Court\u2019s Dobbs v. Jackson decision, 13 states had \u201ctrigger laws\u201d that would automatically end or severely limit abortion immediately after Roe\u2019s overturn.<\/p>\n<p>But pro-abortion groups have responded by asking for a series of legal injunctions that delay the application of these laws, although they have often been overturned within a few days.<\/p>\n<p>This strategy has thrown a delay that pro-abortion groups have taken full advantage of.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2020\/05\/30\/Missouri-Abortion-Clinic-St.-Louis-2020-05-30-1200x720.jpg\"><\/a> Abortion clinics face closing as state-level pro-life laws pass across America. (Jeff Roberson\/AP Photo) <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur affiliates, our health centers are fighting to get every single patient in that they can see right now before the state issues an injunction,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/video\/planned-parenthood-ceo-clinics-fighting-000114620.html\">said<\/a> Planned Parenthood president and CEO Alexis McGill Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>Trigger laws are on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2022\/06\/29\/abortion-trigger-laws-challenged-court\/7767228001\/\">hold<\/a> in Louisiana, Kentucky, and Utah. Challenges to trigger laws are pending in Idaho, Oklahoma, and Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p>Other states have faced longstanding federal injunctions that are now being overturned.<\/p>\n<p>Although Texas has a \u201ctrigger law\u201d that automatically bans abortion after the end of Roe, it won\u2019t take effect for about two months.<\/p>\n<p>However, Texas attorney general Ken Paxton\u00a0acted to end abortions in the state immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Paxton said the state could enforce an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-abortion-ban\">abortion ban<\/a> dating from 1925, which Roe v. Wade long blocked.
