Patriotism in the U.S. reached\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/getbrightemail.us9.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=16e6303dfb8760532f527f07d&#038;id=0613597432&#038;e=40656bdb74\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">record lows<\/a>\u00a0in 2020, a year when corrupt corporate media outlets such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/nation\/for-some-americans-july-4-is-a-time-not-to-celebrate-but-reflect\">PBS<\/a> amplified complaints that the holiday is racist and obsolete to black Americans.<\/p>\n<p>Even last year, Democrats such as former Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill tainted Independence Day with antics such as viewing a propaganda film about the Jan. 6 election integrity protests and Capitol riot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to start a new family tradition in my family. On the Fourth of July and every Fourth of July going forward, we\u2019re going to watch that video that The New York Times put together of January 6th,\u201d McCaskill\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/claire-mccaskill-capitol-riot-video-new-4th-july-tradition-msnbc-2021-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>\u00a0on MSNBC\u2019s \u201cMorning Joe.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This type of partisanship-over-patriotism tradeoff has been happening for years and is only exacerbated by Democrats who have increasingly distanced themselves from their Republican friends, family, and neighbors.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s more common nowadays for streets in cities like Washington D.C. and Austin, Texas to be lined with pride and Ukraine flags than showcase the stars and stripes. That\u2019s why Twitter users thought the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/williams_paige\/status\/1541434138011570183?s=20&#038;t=2-DyYwDwRF1lwugnFmig3A\">New Yorker\u2019s recent cover<\/a>\u00a0depicting two politically opposed neighbors flying American flags needed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lndian_bronson\/status\/1541507361587826691?s=21&#038;t=oTRGCZtawA5K2dCT0tufHA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fixing<\/a>\u00a0to be more representative of the current political climate.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"446\" height=\"703\" data-id=\"274978\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-22.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-274978\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-22.png 446w, https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-22-190x300.png 190w\" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"452\" height=\"753\" data-id=\"274977\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-274977\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-21.png 452w, https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/image-21-180x300.png 180w\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<p>More drastically, it\u2019s also why Democrats are perfectly comfortable disowning branches of government like the highest court in the land, not to mention <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/28\/democrats-hate-every-second-amendment-victory-because-it-challenges-their-monopoly-on-power\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">our nation\u2019s governing document<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are countless reasons to celebrate the United States but most of those reasons no longer align with the leftist ideology driving the Democrat agenda. <em>Dobbs<\/em> is another great reason to celebrate the God-given right to \u201clife, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness\u201d for all Americans (including babies) this Fourth of July but leftists are freaking out because they only tolerate the U.S. when its institutions benefit them. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
