Wade<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Planned Parenthood v. Casey<\/em>, making it clear that even though it was one of the biggest political wins in our lifetime, the real battle was only beginning.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Roe<\/em> is gone. Ben, tell us what we\u2019re supposed to think,\u201d co-CEO Jeremy Boreing kicked off the segment.<\/p>\n<p>Shapiro called the overturning of\u00a0<em>Roe<\/em> the biggest political win of our lifetime, adding that some of the credit for the momentous ruling belonged to former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank President Donald J. Trump,\u201d Shapiro said, noting that he had initially had very real doubts about Trump. \u201cBut the minute he selected Justice Neil Gorsuch, on air I put a MAGA hat on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe battle is taken up right now,\u201d Shapiro continued, arguing that getting the decision-making process sent back to the states was not the end of the fight, but the beginning \u2014 and that fight was going to be in the hearts and minds of the people.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say that the dissent in <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization<\/em> made the battle lines abundantly clear. \u201cFor them, abortion is a sacrament,\u201d he said. \u201cA woman cannot be a woman unless she retains the right to kill her preborn child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But those on the Left could still get out over their skis if they push too hard on the issue, Shapiro added, noting that Democrats had adopted a position that did not align with the majority of Americans. \u201cThey\u2019re sowing the seed of their own destruction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow is the moment to push full speed ahead,\u201d Michael Knowles agreed.<\/p>\n<p>Matt Walsh pointed out the fact that the post-<em>Roe<\/em> landscape was revealing the dishonesty of some of the pro-abortion arguments. \u201cI thought they said that abortion was only 3% of what Planned Parenthood does,\u201d he said, asking, \u201cWhy are they closing clinics?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Candace Owens, who joined the panel despite being nine months pregnant \u00a0\u2014 and joked that delivering her baby during the live event would make for good TV \u2014 added, \u201cIt\u2019s so surreal to hear the argument that they\u2019re making when you\u2019re about to bring a baby to term.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch the event here:<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Daily Wire Backstage panel addressed the recent Supreme Court decision overturning landmark abortion rulings in\u00a0Roe v.
