She testified that Trump protested in a car when a Secret Service agent told him they would not take him from the site of his speech to the Capitol where people were gathering. Trump lunged for the car\u2019s steering wheel and then toward the agent, she told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-committee\">committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But Hutchinson was not in the car. She relayed a story she heard about the car ride.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNone of that would ever be admitted in court. It\u2019s classic hearsay,\u201d Zimolong told The Epoch Times. \u201cAn attorney would get up and say \u2018Objection, hearsay,\u2019 and every single judge in America would say \u2018Yeah, you\u2019re right. You can\u2019t testify to what someone told you, or what someone said.\u2019 It\u2019s the first thing you learn in evidence class in law school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This illustrates the larger problem with the Jan. 6 hearing, Zimolong said: There is no cross examination so only one controlled side of the story is being told.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/06\/29\/Wally-Zimolong-1200x1803.jpg\"><\/a> Pennsylvania Republican Trial Attorney Wally Zimolong (Courtesy Zimolong LLC.) <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis person is being exalted as a star witness, but if she walked into a civil or criminal courtroom and tried to offer that testimony, most of it wouldn\u2019t even be allowed. She would be shut down immediately by a judge, so I don\u2019t think she\u2019s a star witness at all.
