Coincidence or cause???\u201d the user <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/gabegunlock\/status\/1541658650187468800\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">tweeted<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ABC7 <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/abc7.com\/mysterious-lights-glowing-light-san-diego-pacific-ocean\/12000185\/?ex_cid=TA_KABC_FB&#038;utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+New+Content+%28Feed%29&#038;utm_medium=trueAnthem&#038;utm_source=facebook&#038;fbclid=IwAR3awDteya-NraP_M2eATQM8r6I3R37ynWK1-u9oWJ7p3XZgjvXoBsO2jvQ#l4yyalakrmjzilc6awo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">reported<\/a> that<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> \u201cthere weren\u2019t any commercial or military aircraft on the radar in the area\u201d during the phenomenon, while <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Zerohedge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/debate-ensues-after-mysterious-lights-appear-over-san-diego\">showed<\/a> a Google Trends graphic displaying \u201cUFO\u201d spiked across the region.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Reddit users, however, took to the platform to share theories that the fireballs were flares burning from military planes flying around the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cHere is your answer to all those lights in the sky,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/sandiego\/comments\/vmepgn\/here_is_your_answer_to_all_those_lights_in_the_sky\/?utm_medium=android_app&#038;utm_source=share\">said<\/a> one\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Redditor<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, showing a picture from flight-tracking website Flightradar24 in which at least two military airplanes were shown flying in circles off the San Diego coast \u2014 one of which was a Lockheed Martin KC-130.<\/p>\n<p>Simultaneously, documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell recently told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview that dozens of sailors confirmed U.S. warships were swarmed by at least 100 unidentified flying objects in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe incident went on for hours, and then happened again and again throughout the month, with craft hovering and zipping around near the fleet with flashing multicolored lights,\u201d the Daily Mail <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10939579\/Naval-crew-confirm-warships-swarmed-100-worldly-UFOs.html\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. officials denied the incident, however, with Deputy Director for Naval Intelligence Scott Bray saying he was \u201creasonably confident\u201d the UFOs were drones.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Congress <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/public-ufo-hearing-will-be-held-by-congress-for-first-time-in-over-50-years\">held<\/a> its first UFO hearing in half a century in which Pentagon officials testified under oath about military reports of unexplained phenomena showing an object speeding past a military fighter jet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not the first time the United States, or even San Diego, has seen strange lights appear in the night sky. <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In 2018,\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CBS8 <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs8.com\/amp\/article\/news\/mystery-solved-military-flare-training-lights-up-the-san-diego-night-sky\/509-b8fa3172-b52a-4951-8e66-354890462063\">reported<\/a> similar lights.
