It\u2019s those states in the middle, that red stuff. Why do they get to tell us what to do when the majority of us live out in New York, California, and we\u2019re paying for all this crap, really, I mean, right? I mean, we\u2019re footing the bill,\u201d she on Stephen Colbert\u2019s \u201cThe Late Show\u201d on Monday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s the union. It\u2019s supposed to be a representative democracy, but it turns out to be minority rule right now,\u201d Colbert interjected. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"FXh216rFfME8oRjdcuO6CvnGin2zYIRjUMcpalYH93KP0V5bJWDmKUfPExki41s98IoSLO\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This two-minute video from the Democratic Party late-night show provides a fascinating and highly illustrative look inside the liberal mindset. I mean, we\u2019re no longer majority rule,\u201d Sykes said. <\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that Democrats control the White House, Senate, House, the corporate media, and entertainment like Colbert\u2019s \u201cLate Show,\u201d leftists like Sykes are unsatisfied with the perfectly legitimate judicial decisions like<em> Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em>. According to Sykes, that means extremely blue coastal states like California need to be put in charge of things. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCalifornia, if it were a country, would be like the fifth-largest economy, so if, I\u2019m footing the bill, know your position,\u201d Sykes said. \u201cLook, if I say hey let\u2019s go out to dinner, you don\u2019t get to pick the restaurant. Just shut up and eat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Never mind that \u201cthose states in the middle, that red stuff\u201d helped foot the bill for \u201cCovid relief\u201d in blue states like New York and California and had nothing to do with the majority of justices\u2019 decisions to overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If the court\u2019s recent string of landmark decisions taught us anything, it\u2019s that the left really hates losing and they will do everything in their power to make sure Republicans pay for it. That\u2019s why there was an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/27\/never-forget-how-vicious-and-violent-was-the-lefts-top-to-bottom-anti-court-campaign\/\">avalanche of calls to burn<\/a> the Supreme Court following the Dobbs v. Jackson leak and then actual <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/27\/pro-abortion-demonstrators-unleash-weekend-of-arson-vandalism-and-insurrection-after-dobbs\/\">violence all weekend<\/a> following the final opinion\u2019s release. <\/p>\n<p>Sykes may not have been part of the actual burning, but she said the quiet part of the agitators\u2019 quest out loud. She said she was \u201csalty\u201d about the end of <em>Roe<\/em> and even accused the Republican-nominated justices of lying during their confirmation hearings. Spoiler alert, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/06\/27\/conservative-justices-didnt-lie-about-roe-at-confirmation-hearings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">they did not lie,<\/a> even though Colbert claimed \u201cespecially Kavanaugh\u201d had.<\/p>\n<p>Sykes isn\u2019t just unhappy with <em>Dobbs<\/em> and the court.
