In November 2021, the \u201cGuardians of the Galaxy\u201d star wrote a message to Katherine on social media, thanking her for the support she gives him, as well as their \u201cgorgeous, healthy daughter,\u201d Lyla, now-22-months old.<\/p>\n<p>It was the part about \u201chealthy daughter\u201d that some on social media decided was a swipe at Pratt\u2019s ex-wife actress Anna Faris and their son Jack, who has several health issues, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/chris-pratt-says-he-went-to-bed-upset-depressed-after-healthy-daughter-dragging\">The Daily Wire<\/a> previously reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said something like, \u2018Find someone who looks at you the way my wife looks at me,\u2019\u201d the Marvel star shared with the magazine. \u201cAnd then I gave her some s*** in the thing and said, \u2018But I love you. I\u2019m so thankful for my wife\u2014she gave me a beautiful, healthy daughter.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then a bunch of articles came out and said, \u2018That\u2019s so cringeworthy. I can\u2019t believe Chris Pratt would thank her for a healthy daughter when his first child was born premature. That\u2019s such a dig at his ex-wife,\u2019\u201d he added. \u201cAnd I\u2019m like, That is f***ed up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy son\u2019s gonna read that one day,\u201d Pratt continued. \u201cHe\u2019s nine. And it\u2019s etched in digital stone. It really f***ing bothered me, dude. I cried about it. I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are\u2014to the people close to me\u2014a real burden.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cJurassic World\u201d star admitted his publicist wouldn\u2019t be happy to hear him bringing this backlash up again and extending the news cycle of the story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy publicist would be like, \u2018I\u2019m sweating, Chris, I\u2019m sweating. What happened to the it\u2019s-an-honor-just-to-be-nominated-let\u2019s-move-on f***ing line that we talked about?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the initial backlash, Pratt posted a video on Instagram about how he was feeling \u201creally kind of upset and depressed\u201d as he noted how he found a way to work through it. However, he never directly addressed the criticism he was getting online.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI knew that if I put on my Christian music playlist and I got out of the woods and ran that I\u2019d feel better, but I just didn\u2019t want to and I did it anyways and gosh was I right,\u201d the actor shared at the time. \u201cIt felt amazing. I got out of the woods, got my blood pumping.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pratt and Katherine tied the knot in 2019.
