Mayra Flores (R-Texas), who was recently elected into Congress in a special election, claimed Pelosi nudged her daughter during a group photo.<\/p>\n<p>But a spokesman for Pelosi wrote in several Twitter posts that those allegations are unfounded. Pelosi, he claimed, was instead trying to move so that her daughters wouldn\u2019t be hidden behind her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s sad to see \u2018news outlets\u2019 that know better misrepresent the Speaker\u2019s effort to ensure Rep. Flores\u2019 daughters wouldn\u2019t be hidden behind her in all of the photos of such an important moment for their family,\u201d spokesman Drew Hammill <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Drew_Hammill\/status\/1541436448674562049\">wrote<\/a>, referring to Fox News\u2019 reports on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>He posted more footage of the incident, writing: \u201cAnd here\u2019s more footage of the Speaker graciously greeting Rep. Flores\u2019 children and telling them about the room they are in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">It\u2019s sad to see \u201cnews outlets\u201d that know better misrepresent the Speaker\u2019s effort to ensure Rep. Filemon Vela\u2019s (D-Texas) departure from Congress in March, further cutting into Democrats\u2019 thin majority in the lower chamber.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her,\u201d Flores wrote on\u00a0 Twitter, sharing a video of the incident involving Pelosi and her daughter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe continued to smile and pose for the picture like a queen,\u201d Flores said. \u201cNo child should be pushed to the side for a photo op.
