Wade<\/em>, large companies such as Bank of America, <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/black-rock-joins-jpm-goldman-sachs-in-covering-travel-expenses-for-employees-seeking-abortion-services-235544460.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BlackRock<\/a>, Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods, Disney, Goldman Sachs, H&#038;M, Macy\u2019s, Nike, Nordstrom, and Snap all pledged to pay thousands of dollars for their female employees to kill their babies in utero. <\/p>\n<p>Under the guise of expanding \u201chealth care\u201d policies to better accommodate women, big businesses all over the nation are going to great and murderous lengths to ensure they don\u2019t have to deal with pregnant employees and maternity leave. The approach exposes how corporations evaluate women\u2019s worth and working potential based on the state of their wombs. <\/p>\n<p>Even before the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization <\/em>ruling was released last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/article\/abortion-companies-travel-expenses.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">big businesses<\/a> such as\u00a0Airbnb, Amazon, DoorDash, JPMorgan Chase, Levi Strauss, Microsoft, Netflix, Patagonia, PayPal, Reddit, Starbucks, Tesla, and Yelp had already promised they would cover the travel costs of their women workers to get abortions in different states.  <\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s Chief People Officer Fiona Cicconi even offered men and women at the Big Tech company the opportunity to \u201capply for relocation without justification\u201d based on the <em>Dobbs<\/em> decision, which she called \u201ca profound change for the country that deeply affects so many of us, especially women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no secret why the woke human resource departments at these Fortune 500 firms and Wall Street giants want to ensure their female employees remain childless. For one, it\u2019s cheaper than granting working mothers maternity leave and then giving them the flexibility required to stay engaged as a parent and an employee. <\/p>\n<p>Second and relatedly, a lot of these companies believe childless women are more productive and better for their profitability than mothers would be. The Society for Human Resource Management admitted as much in its recent coverage of the <em>Dobbs <\/em>ruling. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNearly one-quarter of organizations (24 percent) agree that offering an HSA for employees\u2019 travel-related expenses to receive abortion services\/reproductive health care in another state will enhance their ability to compete for talent,\u201d SHRM <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shrm.org\/resourcesandtools\/hr-topics\/benefits\/pages\/employers-prepare-benefits-and-policy-responses-to-follow-abortion-ruling-shrm-survey.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stated<\/a>. Only 18 percent of the businesses surveyed disagreed with that assertion.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the blatant sexism, this approach has been applauded by Democrats and the corporate media who are outraged that the highest court in the land would dare strike down an unconstitutional decision that was \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/21pdf\/19-1392_6j37.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">egregiously wrong from the start<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUS company perks used to mean free snacks. Now it\u2019s access to an abortion \u2013 if you\u2019re lucky,\u201d an author for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2022\/jun\/28\/us-company-perks-abortion-pay-roe-v-wade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Guardian<\/a> wrote. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese Companies Will Cover Travel Expenses for Employee Abortions,\u201d one headline from The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/article\/abortion-companies-travel-expenses.html.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blared<\/a>. In the subhead, the Times claimed, \u201cDozens of companies have committed to helping their employees get access to reproductive care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople Are Comparing The Handmaid\u2019s Tale To Real Life, Following Roe v Wade Ruling,\u201d The Independent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/life-style\/handmaids-tail-roe-v-wade-overturn-abortion-b2108972.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The actual Handmaid\u2019s Tale parallel isn\u2019t that unborn babies in multiple states will now have a law-protected chance at life. It\u2019s that powerful corporate America is paying to end human lives because some of its biggest players believe a female employee will not be as effective if she\u2019s a mother.   <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s anti-women, anti-life, and the opposite of the \u201cprogress\u201d so many big businesses and woke human resource departments regularly tout to score points with the left. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
