Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overturned<\/a> Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>NBC News anchor Kate Snow asked if HHS can legally provide transportation services for women in states that outlaw abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTalk to me later,\u201d Becerra said. \u201cI always tell my team at HHS \u2018if you\u2019ve done your homework, then we have no right to do mild,\u2019 and so we\u2019re going to be aggressive and go all the way \u2026 We are looking at every option and among those is transportation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vice President Kamala Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tv\/kamala-harris-says-administration-looking-at-possible-travel-vouchers-for-women-to-receive-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> Monday to CNN\u2019s Dana Bash that the administration is looking into possible \u201cvouchers for travel\u201d for women to access abortion.<\/p>\n<p>The recently overturned 1973 ruling Roe v. Wade prohibited states from outlawing abortion before the point of fetal viability. The Court\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/21\/supreme-court-prolongs-dobbs-decision-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decision<\/a> to uphold a Mississippi law prohibiting abortion after 15 weeks sent the authority to regulate and restrict abortion back to the state level.<\/p>\n<p>There is currently no law on the books intending to prosecute women who travel across state lines for an abortion, though the possibility is in the air, The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/06\/24\/us\/abortion-travel-bans.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>. Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote in his concurring opinion that the Constitution would protect a woman\u2019s right to interstate travel for access the procedure, according to the outlet. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/12\/tom-cotton-xavier-becerra-partial-birth-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Cotton Slams Becerra For \u2018Trying To Ignore\u2019 Partial Birth Abortion Ban: \u2018He Doesn\u2019t Get To Pick And Choose\u2019)\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thirteen states have so-called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/roe-v-wade-overturn-trigger-laws-supreme-court-abortion-states-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trigger laws<\/a>\u201d that were set to take effect after the Court\u2019s decision to impose statewide restrictions on abortion, according to CBS News. These states include Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Idaho, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Tennessee, Utah, Wyoming and Oklahoma.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/missouri-attorney-general-trigger-law-statewide-abortion-ban-roe-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">issued<\/a> an opinion Friday allowing the state\u2019s trigger law, the Right to Life of the Unborn Child Act, to take effect banning abortion except in cases threatening the mother\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p>Senate Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/11\/joe-manchin-republicans-block-womens-health-protection-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">attempted<\/a> to bring up for debate the Women\u2019s Health Protection Act in May in the aftermath of the Supreme Court\u2019s leaked draft majority opinion, but the bill stalled after all Republicans, along with Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin, voted against it.
