Wade<\/em><\/a><em>,\u00a0<\/em>calling the comments \u201cabsolutely disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the Monday Sirius XM \u201cThe Megyn Kelly Show\u201d podcast, the host called out the CNN commentator following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/ana-navarro-invokes-disabled-brother-step-granddaughter-with-down-syndrome-in-defense-of-roe-v-wade\">her shocking comments<\/a> Friday in response to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/united-states-supreme-court-overturns-roe-v-wade-leaves-abortion-restrictions-to-states\">Supreme Court voting 6-3 to uphold a Mississippi law that overturned Roe<\/a>. The ruling recognizes that there\u2019s no constitutional right to an abortion and returns the decisions to the legislature, leaving it up to the states to pass abortion legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly played Navarro\u2019s comments in which she talked about her \u201cfamily with a lot of special needs kids. I have a brother who\u2019s 57 and has the mental and motor skills of a 1-year-old.\u201d Kelly said this is Navarro\u2019s \u201cjustification for why abortion needs to remain.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I know what that means financially, emotionally, physically, for a family,\u201d Navarro explained. \u201cAnd I know not all families can do it. And I have a step-granddaughter who was born with Down syndrome. And you know what? It is very difficult in Florida to get services. It is not as easy as it sounds on paper.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I\u2019ve got another, another step-grandson who is very autistic,\u201d \u00a0she added. \u00a0\u201cWho has autism, and it is [inaudible]. And their mothers and people who are in that society, who are in that community will tell you that they\u2019ve considered suicide because that\u2019s how difficult it is to get help. Because that\u2019s how lonely they feel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The host replied to Ana\u2019s comments in a sarcastic tone, saying, \u201cSo, it\u2019s really hard to raise autistic children and therefore abortion needs to remain legal on demand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s absolutely disgusting,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cI too, I have a nephew who\u2019s significantly autistic and he\u2019s amazing. And it has been challenging for his parents.\u00a0But they put the work in to try to help him with the issues that he\u2019s struggled with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s awesome,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd the suggestion that a better alternative would\u2019ve been to abort him because their life would\u2019ve been easier suggests that she [Navarro] has absolutely no understanding of love. And how it works.
