Zuljanah is named for the horse of Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad,\u201d the Associated Press\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/space-launches-middle-east-iran-tehran-european-union-b197265d72809ef97c7cd12cd3c33f07\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">reported<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The White House confirmed in the report that it was aware of the launch and referred to the act as \u201cunhelpful and destabilizing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The launch followed reports earlier this month that showed images from Maxar Technologies revealing a launch pad at Imam Khomeini Space Launch Terminal in Iran.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Iran\u2019s state news agency also\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/space-launches-middle-east-iran-dubai-united-arab-emirates-2b33cf4c44a85fd87f3e15b88ac281ac\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">noted<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0in May that Iran would likely \u201chave seven homemade satellites ready for launch by the end of the Persian calendar year in March 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The launch comes after a visit on Friday to Tehran by European Union (E.U.) foreign policy chief Josep Borrell. They should not be removed from the FTO list until they can prove that they have ceased ALL terrorist activity,\u201d Rep.
