Wade<\/em> and Planned Parenthood v. Casey on Friday,\u00a0effectively kicking abortion restrictions back to the states.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMiscarriages? They\u2019re working to criminalize them,\u201d Bush wrote in a lengthy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CfOA7abN5Cx\/\">post<\/a>, adding, \u201cEvery member of the SCOTUS, &#038; every Christian fundamentalist, &#038; every state official who denies science &#038; the impact on the living has now inserted themselves in our wombs. They are not stopping here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comment section on the post reads, \u201cComments on this post have been limited.\u201d According to Instagram, this means Bush is only allowing certain people to comment, and their comments have to be approved by her before they even show up on the post.<\/p>\n<p>Miscarriages, where a baby tragically dies in a woman\u2019s womb, are not illegal. And there is no pro-life legislation seeking to criminalize women who suffer natural miscarriages.<\/p>\n<p>Bush also claimed doctors who treat an ectopic pregnancy will be thrown \u201cin jail for murder rather than thank them forever for saving her life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This, too, is untrue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/ectopic-pregnancy\/basics\/definition\/con-20024262\">ectopic<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webmd.com\/baby\/tc\/ectopic-pregnancy-topic-overview\">pregnancy<\/a> is one such specific instance where the treatment inevitably and tragically causes the death of the preborn child. But again, death is not the purpose,\u201d Live Action <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/get-facts-straight-treating-ectopic-pregnancy-not-abortion\/\">explains<\/a>. \u201cSuch a pregnancy is different than any other kind a woman wishes to terminate, because it is not able to continue. The preborn child is supposed to grow in her mother\u2019s uterus, but in this case, the child\u00a0develops\u00a0in the fallopian tubes. Such a pregnancy can severely injure or damage the mother. Thus, the baby, and at times, even the fallopian tubes, must be removed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Live Action noted that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.webmd.com\/baby\/tc\/ectopic-pregnancy-treatment-overview\">WebMD<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/ectopic-pregnancy\/basics\/treatment\/con-20024262\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>, and even abortion mill <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/learn\/pregnancy\/ectopic-pregnancy\">Planned Parenthood<\/a>\u00a0admit treatment of an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTreating an ectopic pregnancy isn\u2019t the same thing as getting an abortion,\u201d Planned Parenthood <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plannedparenthood.org\/learn\/pregnancy\/ectopic-pregnancy\">says<\/a> on its website. \u201cEctopic pregnancies are unsafely outside of your uterus (usually in the fallopian tubes), and are removed with a medicine called methotrexate or through a laparoscopic surgical procedure. The medical procedures for abortions are not the same as the medical procedures for an ectopic pregnancy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, the evidence-free claims by Bush and other pro-abortion activists have been allowed to proliferate.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court has \u201cremoved our personal power to make decisions about our bodies, futures, and health with our partners &#038; our doctors. Away from prying eyes. They have made the immensely private into something public &#038; political,\u201d the \u201cOne Tree Hill\u201d actress continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are working to turn us into a fundamentalist nation, despite this nation existing because people wanted to escape religious fundamentalism,\u201d the 39-year-old said. \u201cIt is DIRE. But I will say this to you, my sisters and friends and our allies. WE WILL NOT GO QUIETLY. WE WILL NOT BE DETERRED.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWeep. Rage. Grieve,\u201d Bush closed the post. \u201cReach out to those affected &#038; tell them you are HERE. That they are SEEN. Take a moment, in this world that wants us always working, to pause &#038; feel. But then get ready for the fight of our lives. If we weren\u2019t held hostage by Manchin &#038; Sinema we could have stopped this. We could have expanded the Court. And so when those midterms hit? We better fight tooth and nail and blood and future for more seats. If we want to stop a sadist patriarchy that ignores science and the humanity of us from remaking this nation into a prison for anyone who isn\u2019t pale, male, wealthy, or stale? We have to reclaim &#038; rebuild it OURSELVES. I know it feels like it\u2019s not enough.
