The data, which according to the outlet comes from the political firm L2, reportedly shows that around two-thirds of the 1.7 million voters became Republicans \u2014 while only about 630,000 voters became Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s support in the suburbs has been widely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/politics\/2021\/06\/30\/behind-bidens-2020-victory\/\">credited<\/a> as the reason for his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/independents-suburban-voters-biden-victory\/2021\/07\/06\/ef421cba-de62-11eb-9f54-7eee10b5fcd2_story.html\">success<\/a> in the 2020 presidential election. (Photo by John Moore\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cBiden and Democrats are woefully out of touch with the American people, and that\u2019s why voters are flocking to the Republican Party in droves,\u201d Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel told the AP.<\/p>\n<p>The data showing more registered Republicans comes after Democrats lost in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/11\/03\/us\/politics\/democrat-losses-2022.html\">droves<\/a> across states last fall. In Virginia, Republicans swept statewide, notably taking the gubernatorial <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/21\/glenn-youngkin-2024-national-profile\/\">race<\/a> with the election of Glenn Youngkin.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans also won big recently in Texas, where Mayra Flores <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/06\/14\/republican-mayra-flores-flips-dem-house-seat-in-south-texas-00039717\">flipped<\/a> a blue district in June with the support of Latino voters.
