If you believe that a trial should be conducted by way of an HBO documentary, that\u2019s your issue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love you, Woody,\u201d Baldwin said in the video post in which he announced the interview would take place on Instagram Live. \u201cInstagram, I\u2019m with Woody, Tuesday, 10:30. Be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The interview comes after the 2021 release of the docuseries \u201cAllen v. Farrow,\u201d in which his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, and Dylan\u2019s mother, Mia Farrow, elaborated on the sex abuse allegations they first cast in 1992.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Allen v. Farrow\u2019 included a never-before-seen home video of 7-year-old Farrow talking about the alleged assault shortly after she claims it occurred,\u201d Variety <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/alec-baldwin-woody-allen-interview-1235303823\/\">reported<\/a>. \u201cDuring the #MeToo movement, his 2019 film \u2018A Rainy Day in New York\u2019 was dropped by Amazon Studios and Hachette Book Group refused to publish his memoir. Allen denies the allegations, and called them \u2018untrue and disgraceful\u2019 in a statement following the release of the docuseries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During Allen\u2019s messy divorce from actress Mia Farrow, Dylan alleged that she was abused. While Allen was never criminally charged, presiding Justice Elliott Wilk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdnyblog.com\/files\/2014\/02\/Allen-v.-Farrow-Custody-Ruling.pdf\">wrote<\/a> about the case that \u201ccredible testimony \u2026 prove[s] that Mr. Allen\u2019s behavior toward Dylan was grossly inappropriate and that measures must be taken to protect her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After Allen, now 86, dated Farrow for a decade, the actress <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/02\/22\/mia-farrow-found-nude-photos-of-soon-yi-at-woody-allens-home\/\">found<\/a> nude pictures of her 21-year-old adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, taken by Allen. The couple split, and Previn, 51, and Allen are now married.<\/p>\n<p>In 2017, when film producer Harvey Weinstein was accused by numerous women of rape and sexual assault, Allen came to his defense, saying he was \u201csad\u201d for Weinstein.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe whole Harvey Weinstein thing is very sad for everybody involved,\u201d he added. \u201cTragic for the poor women that were involved, sad for Harvey that [his] life is so messed up,\u201d Allen said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-us-canada-41626750\">according<\/a> to the BBC.<\/p>\n<p><em>Joseph Curl has covered politics for 35 years, including 12 years as White House correspondent for a national newspaper.
