Wade<\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0ruling that had made abortion a federal right. Writing for the majority, Justice Samuel Alito said the law was never constitutional, and states were the proper regulators of abortion.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2018On Friday morning, women in this country, like they have for nearly 50 years, woke up with a constitutional right to abortion, a right enshrined by the Supreme Court\u2019s 1973 decision in\u00a0<em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Roe v. Wade<\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and reaffirmed again and again,\u2019\u201d Raddatz said. \u201c\u2018But just after 10 a.m. on Friday, a legal earthquake, the court stripped women of that fundamental right.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">ABC&#8217;s Raddatz opened This Week lashing out: &#8220;On Friday morning women in this country like they have for nearly 50 years woke up with a constitutional right to abortion\u2026But just after 10:00 A.M. On Friday a legal earthquake, the court stripping women of that fundamental right.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2RkWpSZTfK\">pic.twitter.com\/2RkWpSZTfK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kevin Tober (@KevinTober94) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KevinTober94\/status\/1541047264201818112?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 26, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Raddatz, who famously was\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=y6vkB5cWrzo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">brought to near tears<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0after former President Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, said the ruling means states can outlaw abortion.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cAbortion is now a matter for the states and Congress, a decision for voters and their elected leaders rather than between a woman and her doctor,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Senior national correspondent Terry Moran\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/abcs-terry-moran-women-will-die-supreme-court-ruling-roe-v-wade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">said<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, \u201cwomen will die because of this ruling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/clips\/ben-shapiro-reacts-to-biden-s-remarks-on-roe-v-wade-being-overturned\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">WATCH: DAILY WIRE\u2019S BEN SHAPIRO REACTS TO SUPREME COURT OVERTURNING ROE V. WADE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIt changes the status of American women as citizens of the United States and as citizens of their states,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Several states, including Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky, have \u201c<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-multiple-states-ban-abortion-after-scotus-ruling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">trigger bans<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201d in place that made abortion illegal as soon as Roe was reversed. Five more, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Ohio, and Iowa, have passed similar laws only to have them struck down. With Roe reversed, those states could reimpose the laws, with them taking immediate effect.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/anarchical-and-criminal-actions-arizona-authorities-address-rioting-from-pro-abortion-activists-in-state-capitol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pro-abortion demonstrators<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0took to the streets Friday night, storming the Arizona statehouse, shutting down traffic in Los Angeles, vandalizing buildings and cars in Seattle, and protesting in Washington and New York.
