Wade. In addition, the proposition would extend not only to Dick\u2019s employees, but also their spouses and dependents, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/lauren-hobart-0656893_at-dicks-our-teammates-are-the-heart-of-activity-6946126055220936705-HPGn?utm_source=linkedin_share&#038;utm_medium=member_desktop_web\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to her statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn response to today\u2019s ruling, we are announcing that if a state one of our teammates lives in restricts access to abortion, DICK\u2019S Sporting Goods will provide up to $4,000 in travel expense reimbursement to travel to the nearest location where that care is legally available. This benefit will be provided to any teammate, spouse or dependent enrolled in our medical plan, along with one support person,\u201d Hobart\u2019s statement read, in part. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/joe-biden-supreme-court-roe-v-wade-voters-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Biden Decries Supreme Court\u2019s Decision Overturning Roe V. Wade, Calls For Voters To Turn Out For The Midterms)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hobart also said that the move to reimburse employees for their abortion-related travel was made with \u201cthoughtful consideration.\u201d \u201cWe are making this decision so our teammates can access the same health care options, regardless of where they live, and choose what is best for them,\u201d she shared via the same statement.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court voted to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overturn<\/a> Roe v. Wade in a Friday decision, sending authority over abortion back to the states. The conservative justices represented the majority.<\/p>\n<p>Dick\u2019s Sporting Goods is not the only company who plans to cover abortion-related travel expenses for its employees.
