Maxine Waters vowed Friday to \u201cdefy\u201d the Supreme Court after it ruled Friday to overturn Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking outside the high Court, Waters said the turnout outside the Supreme Court would grow larger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou see this turnout here? You ain\u2019t seen nothin\u2019 yet! Women are going to control their bodies no matter how they try to stop us. The hell with the Supreme Court, we will defy them. Women will be in control of their bodies, and if they think black women are intimidated or afraid they got another thought coming,\u201d Waters said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlack women will be out in droves, we will be out by the thousands, we will be out by the millions, we are going to make sure we fight for the right to control our own bodies.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/supreme-court-majority-says-it-couldnt-let-potential-backlash-affect-their-decision-on-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Supreme Court Majority Says It Couldn\u2019t Let Potential Backlash Affect Their Decision On Abortion)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The court <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ruled Friday<\/a> in a 6-3 <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/andrew-yang-democrats-themselves-blame-supreme-court-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decision<\/a> to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, remanding the issue of abortion back to the states. The majority upheld Mississippi\u2019s 15-week abortion ban in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization, a case that directly challenged Roe\u2019s ban on most abortion restrictions before fetal viability.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,\u201d Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the majority. \u201cThe Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely \u2014\u00a0the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoe was egregiously wrong from the start,\u201d Alito continued. \u201cIts reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Democratic California Rep.
