The upper chamber passed the bill Thursday night, with 15 Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/23\/senate-passes-bipartisan-gun-control-legislation\/\">joining<\/a> all 50 Democrats in support.<\/p>\n<p>The House passed the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act 234-193, with 14 Republicans joining all 220 Democrats in support. All \u201cno\u201d votes came from Republicans. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/22\/senate-advances-debate-gun-control-legislation\/\"><strong>(RELATED: Senate Votes To Begin Debate On Bipartisan Gun Control Legislation Shortly After Releasing Its Contents)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">2) There were 14 GOP yeas.<\/p>\n<p>That is significant, considering there were 15 Republican yeas last night in the Senate. And what it does is something that our inspiration for all of us on the House side, Rep. Lucy McBath, has said to us, \u2018we must get something done. For the children.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some conservatives have expressed concern about the red flag provision, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/22\/red-flag-law-no-right-to-government-provided-lawyer\/\">noting<\/a> that individuals who are subject to it will not be provided with attorneys for legal proceedings. Another provision extends limits on gun ownership for individuals convicted of domestic violence-related offenses, closing what some call the \u201cboyfriend loophole.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Five of the 14 Republicans who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mychaelschnell\/status\/1540393385990701056\">voted<\/a> in favor have already announced their respective retirements, while a sixth \u2014South Carolina Rep.
