Jackson Women\u2019s Health Organization on Friday, which overturned Roe v. Wade\u2019s holding that Americans have a constitutional right to an abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Justice Samuel Alito <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/24\/roe-v-wade-overturned-supreme-court-dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health\/\">wrote<\/a> for a six-justice majority that \u201cRoe was egregiously wrong from the start.\u201d Associate Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch joined Alito\u2019s majority opinion, while Associate Justices <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RameshPonnuru\/status\/1540344082316382211\">Clarence Thomas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RameshPonnuru\/status\/1540344082316382211\">Brett Kavanaugh<\/a> and Chief Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RameshPonnuru\/status\/1540344082316382211\">John Roberts<\/a> issued concurring opinions. Alito\u2019s final opinion was <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ishapiro\/status\/1540338931509723136\">similar<\/a> to a leaked draft <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/02\/supreme-court-roe-v-wade-samuel-alito-politico\/\">opinion<\/a> showing that the justices would overrule Roe.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans praised the ruling while denouncing a pressure campaign against the justices stemming from the leaked draft opinion. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/03\/justice-roberts-fbi-investigation-scotus-leak\/\"><strong>(RELATED: REPORT: Justice Roberts \u2018Likely\u2019 To Order FBI Investigation Into SCOTUS Leak)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">Every unborn child is precious, extraordinary, and worthy of protection. Their Abortion on Demand Until Birth Act nationalizes abortions for all nine months, making America just as radical as China and North Korea,\u201d she added of the Women\u2019s Health Protection Act, which <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/24\/henry-cuellar-one-democrat-against-womens-health-protection-act-abortion\/\">passed<\/a> the House in September 2021 but failed in the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoe was a tragic mistake, taking from the American people and their elected representatives a deeply moral question. The Supreme Court has finally corrected this mistake and I highly commend the millions of Americans who toiled for years to achieve this great victory for unborn life and self-government,\u201d Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRoe\u2019s days are over, but the pro-life movement\u2019s work has just begun. This issue will now be debated in the 50 states, and a 330,000,000-person, continental nation will work through this debate in a way that\u2019s healthier than Roe\u2019s one-size-fits-all, Washington-centrism. The pro-life movement is pro-baby, pro-mom, and pro-science,\u201d Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn spite of the doxxing of their homes, violent threats and intimidation, and even a plot to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh, the Court held strong.
