Kyung Lah from CNN,\u201d the reporter introduced herself as she approached Lake outside an event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t have a mask on anymore, what\u2019s going on?\u201d Lake asked, feigning surprise.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, we\u2019re outside,\u201d Lah replied with a smile, and the two shook hands. \u201cDo you have a minute to chat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re six feet apart,\u201d Lake interjected, and Lah asked again, \u201cDo you have a minute to chat?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUm, I\u2019ll do an interview,\u201d Lake agreed, and then added her condition: \u201cAs long as it airs on CNN+. Does that still exist?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAh, no,\u201d Lah replied.<\/p>\n<p>Lake went on to mock CNN as several people around her laughed, adding, \u201cI didn\u2019t think so, because the people don\u2019t like what you guys are peddling, which is propaganda. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo \u2014\u201d Lah appeared to be at a loss for words as Lake and her team turned and walked away.<\/p>\n<p>CNN\u2019s fledgling streaming service <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/warner-bros-discovery-is-shutting-down-cnn-after-new-streaming-service-struggled-to-attract-viewers-report\/\">lasted only one month<\/a>, and although some critics have blamed that solely on the programming, some insiders have suggested that the timing of the venture may have had far more to do with sealing its fate. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/cnn-may-be-on-the-chopping-block-execs-axe-all-external-marketing-report\/\">CNN+ launched<\/a> just ahead of a planned merger with Warner Bros\/Discovery, and according to reports, the new leadership team had a different vision for a broader streaming service in the future.<\/p>\n<p>In the weeks since the merger, however, new network chief Chris Licht has pushed the cable news giant\u2019s news coverage in a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/cnn-might-dump-overtly-partisan-talent-report\/\">different direction<\/a> as well. Anchors have been reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/cnn-announces-new-programming-plan-and-elon-musk-is-already-on-board\/\">encouraged<\/a> to move away from snarky and politically-charged chyrons and to bring in more guests with opposing viewpoints.
