How he\u2019s handled each situation is reflected in his <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/17\/poll-democrats-disapproval-of-biden-hits-new-highs\/\">poll<\/a> numbers, which recently slipped for the fourth straight week, according to a\u00a0Reuters-Ipsos poll <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/3533999-biden-approval-rating-slips-for-fourth-straight-week-poll\/\">published<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more, concern is growing over Biden\u2019s age. Currently 79 years old, the president will be 81 if he runs again in 2024. Pritzker of Illinois, Jared Polis of Colorado, Gavin Newsom of California and Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan being named in a piece <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/2022\/05\/biden-2024-democrats-search-for-alternative.html\">published<\/a> by the Intelligencer in May.<\/p>\n<p>Previous presidential hopefuls are also reportedly eyeing a 2024 run should Biden opt out. The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/20\/sanders-president-2024\/\">reported<\/a> back in April on a leaked memo written by Faiz Shakir, Bernie Sander\u2019s former campaign manager, in which he noted that Sanders \u201chas not ruled out another run for president\u201d should there be \u201can open 2024 Democratic presidential primary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Should Biden balk at a second term, another potential for Democrats is Vice President Kamala Harris, though she too has <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/08\/harris-south-america-guatemala-trump\/\">suffered<\/a> from a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/30\/kamala-harris-office-joe-biden-staff-politico-abusive-environment\/\">issues<\/a> since taking office. Pritzker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/06\/18\/illinois-governor-rallies-new-hampshire-dems-00040708\">spoke<\/a> at an abortion rights event in New Hampshire earlier in June, Harris was featured at a South Carolina Democrats\u2019 fundraising event this year and Murphy\u2019s allies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northjersey.com\/story\/news\/2022\/02\/07\/gov-phil-murphy-stronger-fairer-forward-pac\/6691560001\/\">started<\/a> two political fundraising groups back in February.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Biden isn\u2019t going to run, but he doesn\u2019t make that decision until very late, as is his habit, there\u2019s not a lot of time to introduce yourself to the country.
