While DeSantis did not \u2014 as <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/media-falsely-suggests-desantis-stopped-doctors-from-ordering-vaccines-for-kids-and-he-reversed-course\/\">some reported<\/a> \u2014 bar private health care providers from ordering doses of the vaccine for younger children, he also did not authorize the state and local health departments to offer the vaccine to that age group.<\/p>\n<p>Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo even called out the White House for suggesting that DeSantis had barred private providers from ordering doses, adding, \u201cFL never \u2018reversed course.\u2019 We recommended against COVID-19 tax for healthy children in March b\/c there was no strong evidence of benefit.
