Thanks for the example you are setting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverybody knows I like kids better than people,\u201d Biden quipped.<\/p>\n<p>One little boy was \u201ccurled up in his mom\u2019s arms crying after his shot,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10939313\/Biden-takes-selfies-toddlers-getting-covid-shot.html\">The Daily Mail<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p>Later, speaking at the White House, Biden bragged again, \u201cThe United States is now the first country in the world that offers safe and effective COVID 19 Vaccines for children as young as six months old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Kaiser Family Foundation reported last month <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/coronavirus-covid-19\/poll-finding\/kff-covid-19-vaccine-monitor-april-2022\/\">polling results<\/a> among parents about COVID vaccines for their children:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAbout one in five parents of children under age 5 (18%) are eager to get their child vaccinated right away, while a larger share (38%) say they plan to wait a while to see how the vaccine is working for others,\u201d Kaiser said in a report. \u201cAbout four in ten parents of children under 5 are more reluctant to get their child vaccinated with 27% saying they will \u201cdefinitely not\u201d get their child vaccinated and 11% saying they will only do so if they are required. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>Over the weekend, a federal advisory panel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/health\/2022\/06\/18\/cdc-advisers-recommend-covid-19-vaccines-youngest-americans\/7662713001\/\">strongly recommended<\/a> that young children get COVID-19 vaccines. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky celebrated. \u201cWe know millions of parents and caregivers are eager to get their young children vaccinated, and with today\u2019s decision, they can,\u201d Walensky said.<\/p>\n<p>COVID expert Dr. Marty Makary, a public policy researcher at Johns Hopkins University, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/dr-makary-questions-data-fda-authorize-covid-vaccines-young-kids\">blasted the CDC decision<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the FDA is trying to take\u00a0its already shattered reputation with the public and make it even worse, they\u2019re doing that today,\u201d Makary said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re about to authorize this COVID vaccine for 16 million children, 90-plus percent of whom have already had COVID, based on a small study of kids who did not have COVID,\u201d he noted. \u201cThat was the condition to be in that study. So ignoring natural immunity is actually having significant implications now. And even that small study that showed that it works in kids, shows it didn\u2019t work very well, as low as 30% effective in the first few months.
