The original image depicts DeSantis holding a Popeyes t-shirt.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump stated that he \u201cwould win\u201d against DeSantis in a hypothetical 2024 Republican presidential primary matchup, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorker.com\/magazine\/2022\/06\/27\/can-ron-desantis-displace-donald-trump-as-the-gops-combatant-in-chief\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New Yorker<\/a>. The former president reassured he had a \u201cvery good relationship\u201d with the governor nor has he asked him about a potential presidential run, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook post, which has garnered over 380 reactions, allegedly shows DeSantis posing with a shirt that includes an overlay of Trump\u2019s face on a map of America in the style of the American flag. The shirt includes the text, \u201cI\u2019d love a mean tweet and 1.79 gas right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span>The image is digitally fabricated.\u00a0<\/span><span>A reverse <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GovRonDeSantis\/status\/1177677167251148801\"><span>image<\/span><\/a><span> search found the image first appeared on DeSantis\u2019 verified Twitter in September 2019.
