A spokesperson for Boebert confirmed the image is false.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Boebert recently became the subject of media headlines after appearing at a Christian conference and jokingly stating that Jesus did not have enough AR-15 rifles to \u201ckeep his government from killing him,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/3528049-boebert-jesus-didnt-have-enough-ar-15s-to-keep-his-government-from-killing-him\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An alleged image of her shared on Facebook is also drawing attention. The image appears to show Boebert wearing a red \u201c$45\u201d hat while posing with Cruz, who she is touching below the waist.<\/p>\n<p><span>The photo is digitally altered. A reverse image search reveals an unedited version of the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/laurenboebert\/status\/1345476654940958722?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">image<\/a> first appeared on Boebert\u2019s verified personal Twitter account in January 2021.
