Greg Pence (R-IN), the older brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, is recovering from a heart procedure after experiencing chest pain.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pence\u2019s office released a statement regarding his health condition on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cCongressman Greg Pence is recovering from a heart procedure over the weekend after experiencing minor chest discomfort. Congressman Pence is expected to make a full recovery from home with his wife Denise and family,\u201d Pence\u2019s office\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/pence.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/statement-office-congressman-pence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">said<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThe Pence family is grateful to the entire Columbus Regional Hospital team for their exceptional care and professionalism,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pence emphasized the importance of visiting a doctor when experiencing chest discomfort.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c\u2018I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone to always seek medical attention when you aren\u2019t feeling well. Cardiac care can\u2019t wait. Doing nothing is simply not an option. I am extremely thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Columbus Regional Hospital for their proactive attention to keep my heart healthy,\u2019\u201d Pence stated.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Pence has served as Indiana\u2019s congressman of the 6th District since 2019. He announced a run for the open seat in 2018 after then-Rep. Luke Messer opted to run for the Senate.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">His procedure came just days after the House select committee investigating the events of January 6 focused on then-President Trump\u2019s pressure against Mike Pence to reject the results of the 2020 election.
