Version: 4.0.47--><div><\/div>\n<p>The Republican Party of Texas adopted a new 2022 platform declaring the results of the 2020 Presidential election between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden were unlawful.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas GOP\u2019s new <a href=\"https:\/\/texasgop.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/6-Permanent-Platform-Committee-FINAL-REPORT-6-16-2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">party platform<\/a> adopted at the June 2022 state convention addressed concerns that the 2020 general election was unconstitutional, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/3529666-texas-gop-adopts-measure-declaring-biden-was-not-legitimately-elected\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> The Hill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that the 2020 election violated Article 1 and 2 of the U.S. Constitution, that various secretaries of state illegally circumvented their state legislatures in conducting their elections in multiple ways,\u00a0including by allowing ballots to be received after November 3, 2020,\u201d the Texas GOP platform stated.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Republicans added that \u201csubstantial election fraud in key metropolitan areas significantly affected the results in five key states in favor of Joseph Robinette Biden Jr.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/15\/republicans-new-mexico-commission-blocks-primary-results-dominion-voting-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0REPORT: GOP Commission Blocks Primary Results In New Mexico Over Voting Machines)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe reject the certified results of the 2020 Presidential election, and we hold that acting President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States,\u201d the platform stated.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Republicans urged voters to push elected officials to \u201cwork to ensure election integrity and to show up to vote in November 2022\u201d to \u201coverwhelm any possible fraud,\u201d according to the state\u2019s platform.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">this country is on fire<\/p>\n<p>How do we reconcile that unconstitutional voting led to the PA election result favoring Biden?<\/p>\n<p>GOP will not accept it and the Democrats will not concede it<\/p>\n<p>an unstoppable force and an immovable object <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YSJHZkDCr2\">pic.twitter.com\/YSJHZkDCr2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tim Pool (@Timcast) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Timcast\/status\/1538868375597813764?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 20, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Texas GOP\u2019s declaration that the 2020 election was illegitimate is consistently contradicted by federal and state election officials who hold that there was no evidence of election fraud and that the 2020 election was the \u201cmost secure\u201d in American history, reported The Hill.<\/p>\n<p>Trump maintains that the 2020 election, which put Biden in the White House, resulted from overwhelming and widespread fraud.
