But with his plunging approval numbers, some Democrats have hinted that the party needs a fresh face in two years. But it won\u2019t be Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, out of the question,\u201d she said. \u201cFirst of all, I expect Biden to run. He certainly intends to run. Biden has said he intends to run for re-election.<\/p>\n<p>If Biden were to be re-elected and serve another four-year term, he would be 86 when he left the White House. Vice President Kamala Harris could step in if he decides not to run again. But her approval numbers are as dismal as Biden\u2019s, and her own 2020 bid for the Democratic nomination gained no traction.<\/p>\n<p>Clinton told the outlet she thinks Trump is poised to seek the Republican nomination in 2024 again, which would be his third White House run.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think if he can, he\u2019s going to run again,\u201d she said. \u201cFollow the money with Trump \u2014 he\u2019s raised about $130 million sitting in his bank account that he used to travel around, to fund organizing against elections \u2026 I don\u2019t know who will challenge him in the Republican primary.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clinton told the outlet\u2019s Edward Luce that the January 6 riots would never have happened if she had won four years earlier and said her loss to Trump haunts her. Luce told Clinton he had promised his young daughter Trump would not win, only to have her learn he\u2019d been wrong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s really\u00a0remarkable how often I\u2019m told stories like that\u00a0and how often I\u2019m reading something like a work\u00a0of fiction set in modern times[,] and 2016 is a\u00a0traumatic event \u2014 it\u2019s almost eschatological,\u201d\u00a0Clinton said.\u00a0\u201cIt is a break in history.
