Jean-Pierre had previously worked for <em>MSNBC<\/em> before working at the White House.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10927599\/Karine-Jean-Pierre-granted-ethics-authorization-work-CNN-briefing-room-because.html\"> <em>The Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>, the Code of Federal Regulations &#8220;requires employees to seek authorization in cases where their work might impact on the finances of a member of their household and where a reasonable person might &#8216;question [their] impartiality in the matter.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The White House released a memo on May 16th granting Jean-Pierre the ethics authorization.
