But he told told Canadian media personality George Stroumboulopoulos, in an interview on Apple Music 1, that he nixed it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to get typecast,\u201d Plant said with a laugh. \u201cI started that s***.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Plant could not recall what role he was offered, but there was one detail the \u201cStairway to Heaven\u201d singer did recall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got to ride a horse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Did you know Robert Plant was offered a role in Game of Thrones? In 2014, he turned down a reported $800 million to reunite with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones for a Led Zeppelin tour. Page, Jones and the late drummer John Bonham\u2019s son, Jason, were ready to rock, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/3am\/celebrity-news\/led-zeppelins-robert-plant-turns-4595788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the UK Daily Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One singer who took the show up on a cameo offer was Ed Sheeran.
