Josh Hawley criticized the Biden administration for promoting censorship on environmental issues by technology companies during an appearance on Fox News Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLaura, this is the most recent example of the most anti-First Amendment administration in American history,\u201d Hawley told host Laura Ingraham of \u201cThe Ingraham Angle.\u201d The Missouri senator responded to a clip Ingraham played of White House National Climate Adviser Gina McCarthy <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/09\/mccarthy-climate-censorship-energy-environment\/\">calling<\/a> on tech companies to censor debate over environmental issues during an Axios event Thursday.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe challenge is that now we\u2019re moving from denial to actually just trying to disengage the public.,\u201d McCarthy said. \u201cWe have to get tired, we have to get better at communicating, and frankly, the tech companies have to stop allowing specific individuals over and over again to spread disinformation.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/02\/fox-news-contributor-says-bidens-full-scale-attack-on-energy-enabled-putin-invasion\/\">(RELATED: Fox News Contributor Says Biden\u2019s \u2018Full Scale Attack\u2019 On Energy Enabled Putin Invasion)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>YouTube <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/07\/google-youtube-climate-change-united-nations\/\">announced<\/a> in 2021 that videos that didn\u2019t align with \u201cwell-established scientific consensus around the existence and causes of climate change\u201d would not be monetized. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/01\/twitter-pre-bunk-climate-change-denial-united-nations\/\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/16\/facebook-climate-misinformation-climate-change\/\">Facebook<\/a> also took steps to combat so-called \u201cmisinformation\u201d on environmental issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an administration assaulting our basic fundamental constitutional values and principles at every single turn,\u201d Hawley said. \u201cI can\u2019t think of another administration in our history that has assembled an enemies list if you will and read it over and over from the White House podium and says, \u2018We want these people off of social media, we want these people not to be able to communicate a message.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hawley listed vaccines to combat COVID-19, mask mandates and environmental issues as topics in which the Biden administration has reportedly suppressed debate.<\/p>\n<p>The White House and Hawley did not immediately respond to requests for comment from The Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
