In a Tuesday appearance on Newsmax, the host of \u201cThe Megyn Kelly Show\u201d on Sirius XM also criticized the network for \u201chiding facts from parents\u201d about the irreversible damages chemical castration and other radical procedures have on undeveloped minors and she is absolutely right to be outraged. <\/p>\n<p>In an \u201cAmerica\u2019s Newsroom\u201d segment <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/10\/outraged-viewers-bombard-fox-news-for-segment-promoting-child-gender-experiments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">heavily criticized by viewers<\/a> on Friday after it aired, Fox News correspondent Bryan Llenas praised California couple Jeff and Hillary Whittington for showing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tv\/fox-news-airs-lengthy-interview-with-trans-teens-family-for-pride-month-i-would-rather-have-a-living-son-than-a-dead-daughter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cextraordinary courage\u201d<\/a> after spending nearly a decade coaxing their 14-year-old daughter into believing that she is a boy. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is room for reporting on how to identify what\u2019s real,\u201d Kelly said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem is the Fox News Channel mission is not to do reports that sound like MSNBC, right? The Fox News Channel mission is to make sure that they include the context that gets ignored by all the other stations and in 2022, in particular, we know that there\u2019s a lot more to this story,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt is irresponsible to put it on the air like this as a celebration without flagging for the parents out there, who are going through this, the significant downsides of jumping onto this without making sure you\u2019re in that very, very small percentage of cases where gender dysphoria might actually be a thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><\/figure>\n<p>As Kelly noted, \u201cthe stats show that 70 percent of those kids will grow out of it, if left alone, if you don\u2019t interfere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This statistic didn\u2019t make the report, which instead included <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/10\/the-studies-cited-to-support-gender-bending-kids-are-largely-junk-science\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">junk science studies<\/a> from LGBT organizations about transgender suicide rates, and invoked emotional lines like \u201cI\u2019d rather have a living son than a dead daughter\u201d to promote anti-biology ideology. <\/p>\n<p>Despite insistence from corporate media and the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/21\/the-white-house-is-lying-to-you-about-the-irreversible-damage-chemical-castration-causes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">White House<\/a> that pushing minors towards radical procedures can be life-saving, a new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/gender\/report\/puberty-blockers-cross-sex-hormones-and-youth-suicide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a> from The Heritage Foundation found that pumping puberty blockers and other hormones into kids\u2019 bodies, especially without parental consent, actually likely increases suicide rates.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s on top of all of the other repercussions, including <a href=\"https:\/\/abigailshrier.substack.com\/p\/not-a-kitchen-table-issue-jen-psaki?s=r\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201csexual dysfunction, infertility, cardiac event[,] endometrial cancer<\/a>,\u201d permanent sterility, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/sex-change-regret\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transition regret<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo not flag the significant downsides of what happens to these kids when they\u2019re put on puberty blockers, when they\u2019re put on cross gender hormones \u2026 is irresponsible to [Fox\u2019s] mission,\u201d Kelly said. \u201cI don\u2019t expect any of the mainstream press to do it. I really don\u2019t. Although they should. In 2022 we know enough that they should.
