The Secret Service also inserted itself into the saga, according to other texts from Hunter, although the agency has denied involvement.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Beau owned a handgun issued by the state and I[t] was in the front glove compartment of his car. So f*** you \u2026 What right do you f***ing have Hallie,&#8221; Hunter said in the Oct. 23, 2018, text exchange, just hours after Hallie discarded his gun. &#8220;There are 5 guns in dads house. Owning a gun?&#8221; Hunter added. &#8220;How Hallie is that wrong.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b><u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/hunter-biden-laptop-presidennt-joe-tapes\">LISTEN: THE MOMENT HUNTER BIDEN SAYS HIS FATHER WILL DO ANYTHING HE TELLS HIM TO<\/a><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Hunter told Hallie her actions made it look like he had &#8220;threatened you and your family with a gun.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I hate what you&#8217;ve done to me,&#8221; Hunter said. &#8220;I won&#8217;t ever recover from all of this.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>No charges or arrests were made as a result of the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The lengthy text exchange was located on a copy of Hunter Biden&#8217;s abandoned laptop within a password-protected backup of his iPhone XS. Konstantinos &#8220;Gus&#8221; Dimitrelos, a cyber forensics expert commissioned by the<i> Washington Examiner<\/i>, <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/hunter-biden-laptop-presidennt-joe-tapes\">located the password<\/a><\/u> during his examination of the hard drive.<\/p>\n<p>Hallie, who had a tumultuous relationship with Hunter following his brother\u2019s death in 2015, said she<b> <\/b>found Hunter\u2019s .38-caliber revolver in his unlocked<b> <\/b>car and threw it in the garbage near Janssen\u2019s Market in Wilmington, Delaware. When she told Hunter, he told her to go retrieve it, but it was already gone. The police were soon called.<\/p>\n<p><b><u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/technology\/168-000-deleted-files-recovered-from-hunter-bidens-laptop\">168,000 DELETED FILES RECOVERED FROM HUNTER BIDEN&#8217;S LAPTOP<\/a><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Hunter&#8217;s father, President Joe Biden, <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2022\/06\/02\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-gun-violence-in-america\/\">called<\/a><\/u> for a spate of new gun control measures on June 2 following deadly mass shootings at a school in Uvalde, Texas, and a grocery store in Buffalo, New York. And because of this and my stupidity for being worried about you, im dealing with insanity and possibly I\u2019m the one going to get in trouble. Check yourself into a local rehab hunter, this has all got to stop.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hallie added: \u201cPolice coming to talk to me now, I\u2019ll take full blame.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter messaged her that evening, \u201cThe f***ing FBI Hallie. It\u2019s hard to believe anyone is that stupid \/\/ so what\u2019s my fault here Hallie that you speak of. Owning a gun that\u2019s in a locked car hidden on another property?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hunter said: \u201cDo you want me dead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/hunter-bidens-laptop-is-100-authentic-forensic-examination-concludes\">HUNTER BIDEN&#8217;S LAPTOP IS 100% AUTHENTIC, FORENSIC EXAMINATION CONCLUDES<\/a><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The gun incident, the subsequent police response, and the Secret Service allegedly inserting itself into the saga was <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/03\/25\/sources-secret-service-inserted-itself-into-case-of-hunter-bidens-gun-477879\">reported<\/a><\/u> last year by <i>Politico<\/i>, and texts between Hunter and his psychiatrist Keith Ablow describing some of it, including the Secret Service\u2019s alleged involvement, were first <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/03\/26\/hunter-biden-texts-shoot-down-secret-service-denial-over-gun-incident\/\">reported<\/a><\/u> by the <i>New York Post<\/i>, but details of the lengthy blowup between Hunter and Hallie have not previously been reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was open unlocked and windows down and the kids search your car,\u201d Hallie told Hunter, adding, \u201cI\u2019m scared you would use it hunt \u2026 I\u2019m scared for your life hunt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey think you\u2019re scared I would shoot you,\u201d Hunter texted. &#8220;You f***ing a**hole \u2026 You now have me as an abusive pedophile with homicidal tendencies. He also <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2013\/feb\/20\/joe-biden-buy-a-shotgun\">said<\/a><\/u> in 2013 when he was vice president that he owned two shotguns, which he said were a more appropriate weapon for self-defense than an AR-15, recommending his wife Jill &#8220;fire two blasts&#8221; off their balcony &#8220;if there&#8217;s ever a problem.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Hunter told Hallie: &#8220;I\u2019m proven unstable when you put a gun in the trash can at Jansens out of FEAR. What fear. Hunter is either insane. Homicidal. Or just a ducking f*** up drug addict.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><b><u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/spy-chief-of-china-laptop-recording-sheds-light-on-hunter-bidens-overseas-business\">&#8216;SPY CHIEF OF CHINA&#8217; LAPTOP RECORDING SHEDS LIGHT ON HUNTER BIDEN&#8217;S OVERSEAS BUSINESS<\/a><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Secret Service <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/secret-service-sought-paperwork-for-hunter-bidens-missing-gun\">attempted<\/a><\/u> to retrieve the gun paperwork from a Wilmington, Delaware, shop in October 2018 after the firearm went missing, <i><u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/03\/25\/sources-secret-service-inserted-itself-into-case-of-hunter-bidens-gun-477879\">Politico<\/a><\/u><\/i> reported. The report said he later turned over the papers to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.<\/p>\n<p>The Secret Service told the <i>Washington Examiner<\/i> in 2021 it had &#8220;no involvement in this incident.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>President Biden, who was not under Secret Service protection at the time, said through a White House spokesperson last year he had no knowledge of the service&#8217;s involvement. His Secret Service protection resumed in March 2020 after it had stopped in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The gun was reportedly handed in days after the investigation started by a person who regularly digs through the grocery store&#8217;s trash to collect recyclable items.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter gave evasive answers during an <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSThisMorning\/status\/1379036577435910145\">interview<\/a><\/u> last year as part of a media tour promoting his memoir about drug addiction, <i>Beautiful Things<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he knew anything about the Secret Service looking for the record of sale for the gun, Hunter said: \u201cNo, I had no idea. I don\u2019t know whether the Secret Service were or why they would be \u2014 I don\u2019t think that that\u2019s true, to my knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That contradicts reported texts by the president\u2019s son from January 2019, which the <i>New York Post<\/i> first <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/03\/26\/hunter-biden-texts-shoot-down-secret-service-denial-over-gun-incident\/\">obtained<\/a><\/u>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe stole the gun out of my trunk lock box and threw it in a garbage can full to the top at Jansens [sic]. Then told me it was my problem to deal with,\u201d Hunter said. \u201cThen when the police the FBI the secret service [sic] came on the scene she said she took it from me because she was scared I would harm myself due to my drug and alcohol problem and our volatile relationship and that she was afraid for the kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the book tour interview, Hunter said: &#8220;Hallie\u2019s intent was to make certain that I didn\u2019t do anything to hurt myself &#8230; Hallie had thrown it into a trash can, and I told her, &#8216;You can\u2019t do that,\u2019 when I realized that it was gone \u2014 and so, she went back, and the police came to help retrieve the gun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Secret Service did not provide protection to any member of the Biden family in 2018,\u201d Secret Service special agent in charge Benjamin Kramer said in a 2021 <u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/secret_service_to_grassley_johnson_-_hunter_biden_weapon.pdf\">letter<\/a><\/u> made public by Republican Sens.
