He said the administration will cut the deficit by another $1.6 trillion in one year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have spent a lot of money, let\u2019s compare the facts,\u201d Biden said. \u201cUnder my predecessor, the deficit exploded, rising every single year and all the benefit going to the top one percent, basically. Under my plan, last year we cut the deficit $350 billion doing all this \u2026 When they come to you and talk about big spenders, let them know [there is] almost $2 trillion in deficit reduction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to hear any more of these lies about reckless spending. We\u2019re changing people\u2019s lives!\u201d he shouted. \u201cAnd because of the facts this year, we\u2019re delivering the biggest drop in the deficit in the history of the United States of America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The president has taken credit for the drop in deficit spending when in actuality it has been drastically reduced due to the end of emergency pandemic spending, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.factcheck.org\/2022\/04\/bidens-deficit-spin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to FactCheck.org. Shortly after he took office, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimated the deficit to drop by $874 billion in 2021. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/11\/simply-not-true-biden-inflation-government-spending\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018Simply Not True\u2019: Biden Says Inflation Is Not Going Up From Increased Government Spending)\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, after Biden passed the American Rescue Plan, the deficit was then expected to drop by $124 billion instead, FactCheck reported. The legislation is expected to raise the national debt by $3.8 trillion by 2031, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crfb.org\/blogs\/american-rescue-plan-could-set-stage-4-trillion-debt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the CBO.<\/p>\n<p>The president also signed the bipartisan $1.2 trillion <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/02\/senators-introduce-infrastructure-bill-kyrsten-sinema-rob-portman-chuck-schumer-mike-lee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">infrastructure bill<\/a> into law Nov. 15, which the CBO <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/05\/congressional-budget-office-infrastructure-bill-256-billion-deficit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">estimated<\/a> would add $256 billion to the nation\u2019s debt over 10 years. He also attempted, unsuccessfully, to pass his Build Back Better legislation, which intended to provide a $273 billion tax credit for daycare and early childhood education, a \u201csocial safety net\u201d provision that would add a child tax credit and expand Obamacare. The CBO <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/10\/congressional-budget-office-three-trillion-permanent-programs-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">estimated<\/a> the legislation would add $367 billion to the national deficit.<\/p>\n<p>During Tuesday\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/06\/14\/politics\/biden-labor-union-convention\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">speech<\/a>, Biden celebrated the importance and hard work of union members and acknowledged that inflation is \u201csapping the strength of a lot of families\u201d just days after the Consumer Price Index (CPI) <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/06\/10\/consumer-price-index-highest-1981\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rose<\/a> 8.6% in May, the highest in four decades.<\/p>\n<p>He then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w83YVESJK0w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accused<\/a>\u00a0Republicans of standing in the way of his plans to bring down costs for American families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe problem is Republicans in Congress are doing everything they can to stop my plans to bring down costs on ordinary families.
