Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has claimed the Democrat-controlled January 6 Committee could come up with criminal charges against former President Donald Trump. The California Democrat alleged Sunday that he has \u201cvery powerful\u201d evidence that Trump was responsible for clashes at the US Capitol.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cAnd we\u2019ll be presenting what we\u2019ve found,\u201d Schiff told reporters. \u201cI don\u2019t want to predetermine or prejudge the strength of what we will show you. We\u2019ll show you what we\u2019ve been able to determine.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This comes despite Trump saying he offered to deploy 20,000 National Guards ahead of the protest, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (R-Calif.) rejected his offer. Republicans have said Trump\u2019s impeachment failed back in 2020 despite Schiff\u2019s similar claims of \u201cpowerful evidence\u201d at the time.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cWell I don\u2019t think we learnt anything new,\u201d said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio). \u201cI mean, we already knew that they want to get rid of the electoral college, they want to make it so that President Trump can\u2019t run in 2024\u2026I don\u2019t think we learned anything new, even with hundreds of witnesses, thousands of hours of testimony, no ability for Republicans to do any type of cross examination.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"und\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/57aYUXneGT\">pic.twitter.com\/57aYUXneGT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep.
