After all, all they had heard for months was that Trump worked with a sworn American enemy to secure a seat in the White House. <\/p>\n<p>This was a patently false lie based on a debunked document bought by Trump\u2019s political enemy and her sleazy legal team. There\u2019s not a shred of evidence from Special Counsel Robert Mueller nor anyone else that Trump worked with Russia to meddle in the 2016 election. As a matter of fact, those who have been legitimately charged, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/11\/04\/primary-sub-source-for-bogus-steele-dossier-arrested-by-federal-authorities\/\">arrested<\/a>, and put on <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/06\/9-big-things-we-learned-from-the-michael-sussmann-prosecution\/\">trial for lying<\/a> have all been from Clinton\u2019s side. <\/p>\n<p>Yet, it\u2019s still a deception wielded by American elites, Swamp bureaucrats, and the propaganda press and reinforced by outfits such as the Pulitzer Prize board which has thus far <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/03\/why-wont-the-pulitzer-board-answer-trump-on-whether-its-review-process-is-legit-enough-to-revoke-prizes-for-russia-hoax-propaganda\/\">refused to rescind<\/a> any of its awards for false New York Times and Washington Post reporting on the collusion hoax.<\/p>\n<p>When the time came to certify the 2016 election and solidify Trump\u2019s role in the White House, House Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/12\/31\/dems-call-hawleys-election-concerns-coup-attempt-after-objecting-to-every-gop-certification-this-century\/\">attempted to object<\/a>. These representatives cited concerns over the now-disproved Russia hoax and potentially \u201chacked\u201d voting machines. <\/p>\n<p>That didn\u2019t stop the corporate media and Democrats from claiming that questioning the security of our elections was a threat to our democracy in 2020, though. In the end, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/06\/poll-more-democrats-denied-trump-won-where-were-democracy-fears-then\/\">more Democrats denied that Trump won the 2016 election<\/a> than people who claimed Biden wasn\u2019t legitimately elected in 2020. <\/p>\n<p> Now, Democrats are using their <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/06\/j6-hysteria-is-how-media-and-other-democrats-are-avoiding-accountability-for-their-rigging-of-the-2020-election\/\">manufactured hysteria about Jan. 6, 2021<\/a> to cover up the fact that the 2020 election was marred with last-minute changes and chaos, some legal and some <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/17\/video-shows-pennsylvania-official-admitting-election-laws-were-broken-in-2020\/\">illegal,<\/a> and influenced by Big Tech and oligarchs like <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/10\/12\/the-2020-election-wasnt-stolen-it-was-bought-by-mark-zuckerberg\/\">Mark Zuckerberg who paid hundreds of millions of dollars<\/a> to meddle with election processes in swing states.  <\/p>\n<p>The sham Jan. 6 Committee wants Americans to believe that the Republicans who raised questions about election integrity during the 2020 election are <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/13\/second-j6-hearing-criminalizes-republicans-for-election-objections-after-democrats-made-them-for-decades\/\">criminals<\/a>. But they <em>conveniently<\/em> forget that it was Democrats who objected to every Republican-won election this century, in the 2000, 2004, and 2016 elections. <\/p>\n<p>They also <em>conveniently<\/em> forget that it was their leftist allies in the corporate media, woke academia, and on the Hill that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/11\/27\/leftists-fomented-attempts-to-have-state-electors-vote-against-trump-in-2016\/\">lobbied for state electors to vote against Trump<\/a>, no matter what their state\u2019s vote tally indicated. <\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden earlier this year <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/01\/20\/so-its-ok-to-question-election-legitimacy-now-as-long-as-youre-not-trump\/\">cast doubts<\/a> on the legitimacy of the upcoming 2022 midterms but somehow I don\u2019t think Jan. 6 Committee head Bennie Thompson, or Nancy Pelosi-appointed, disgraced Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, plans to call him to the stand.  <\/p>\n<p>During the 2020 election, tens of millions of questionable mail-in ballots swamped our election system and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/electioninnovation.org\/research\/nov-2021-election-integrity-survey\/\">millions more Americans lost trust and confidence<\/a>\u00a0in the country\u2019s ability to host \u201cfree and fair elections.\u201d But Democrats on the illegitimate Jan. 6 Committee are too busy picking at the speck in the GOP\u2019s proverbial eye to see the plank in their own. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
