Just 10 percent, by contrast, say abortion is their biggest concern.<\/p>\n<p>While mainstream media sources, including the <em>New York Times<\/em>, have attempted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/06\/12\/world\/europe\/poland-abortion-ban.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stoke fears<\/a>\u00a0of abortion bans following the <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/top-law-firms-are-hosting-drag-queen-bingo-will-they-really-shun-the-scotus-leaker\/\">leak<\/a> of a Supreme Court ruling that overturns <em>Roe<\/em>, the percent of Americans who cite abortion as their most important issue has increased by only 5 points, the poll found.<\/p>\n<p>More than twice as many Americans reported seeing increased news coverage about abortion.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>FiveThirtyEight<\/em>\/Ipsos poll is not an outlier. Polls by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/fact-tank\/2022\/05\/12\/by-a-wide-margin-americans-view-inflation-as-the-top-problem-facing-the-country-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pew Research<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/finance\/economy\/3473166-94-percent-in-new-poll-worried-about-inflation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ABC News<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/poll.qu.edu\/poll-release?releaseid=3841\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quinnipiac<\/a> all show that Americans consider inflation to be the most important issue.
