The couple has been married since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was terrified of becoming pregnant. I was terrified of putting my life on hold for two-plus years. In my industry, it feels like you\u2019re easily forgotten if you don\u2019t work within the next month of your last job. Things are so quickly paced in what we do,\u201d Chung told the publication during a phone interview. \u201cSo it\u2019s a compromise that we made together as a couple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBig Hero Six\u201d star went public with her decision to freeze her eggs in 2019 but said there\u2019s more stigma associated with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/feminist-writer-slams-surrogacy-as-readymade-babies-after-priyanka-chopra-and-nick-jonas-announce-new-addition\">surrogacy<\/a>, so she was hesitant to share about it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019s a little bit of shame. It\u2019s still not a very common thing and we weren\u2019t ready for judgment,\u201d she told Today. \u201cWe really just did it to protect ourselves. We announced things when we were ready to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople probably think, \u2018Oh, she\u2019s so vain. She didn\u2019t want to get pregnant,\u2019 and it\u2019s much more complicated than that,\u201d the mom of two continued. \u201cFor me, personally, and I will leave it at this, it\u2019s like, I worked my ass off my entire life to get where I am. I don\u2019t want to lose opportunities. I don\u2019t want to be resentful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chung got her start in reality television in 2004 when she was cast on \u201cThe Real World.\u201d Her first major role as an actress was in the 2008 ABC Family miniseries \u201cSamurai Girl.\u201d Since then, Chung worked on projects including \u201cDragonball Evolution,\u201d \u201cGrown Ups,\u201d \u201cPremium Rush,\u201d \u201cSorority Row,\u201d \u201cThe Hangover Part II,\u201d \u201cSucker Punch,\u201d and a recurring role on \u201cLovecraft Country.\u201d She recently finished filming \u201cReunion\u201d with Jillian Bell and Chace Crawford.<\/p>\n<p>The actress shared during a Facebook Live in December 2021 that she was experiencing postpartum depression.
