Troy Nehls introduced legislation Monday that would direct the Secretary of Transportation to rescind the two no-fly zones over Disneyland and Disney World.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Caller first obtained the legislation titled the Airlines Independent of Restrictions Act (AIR) Act, which calls on Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Pete Buttigieg to remove the Notices to Airmen (NOTAM\u2019s) over Disneyland and Disney World. Lauren Boebert, Georgia Rep. Andrew Clyde, California Rep. Doug LaMalfa, Florida Rep. Scott Perry and Florida Rep. Gregory Steube. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/13\/ron-desantis-disney-florida-corporations-abortion-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did DeSantis\u2019 Scorched-Earth Blitz Against Disney Spook Woke Corporations?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/28\/disney-politics-ron-desantis-florida-lgbt-parental-rights-republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">signed a measure into law<\/a> in April that removes Disney World\u2019s special administrative and tax privileges in Florida after the company publicly opposed the state\u2019s Parental Rights in Education bill. Disney said it should have never passed the state House.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFlorida\u2019s HB 1557, also known as the \u2018Don\u2019t Say Gay\u2019 bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law. Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that,\u201d Disney said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/thewaltdisneycompany.com\/statement-from-the-walt-disney-company-on-signing-of-florida-legislation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country,\u201d the company continued.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Caller contacted Disney and the DOT about the legislation, to which they did not immediately respond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Texas Rep.
