Jamaal Bowman was arrested in January 2022 after he participated in a voting rights protest at the Capitol, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/01\/20\/politics\/jamaal-bowman-arrested\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CNN<\/a>. Democratic Texas Reps. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/08\/03\/politics\/al-green-voting-rights-protest-arrest\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Al Green<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/07\/29\/politics\/sheila-jackson-lee-arrested-voting-rights\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sheila Jackson Lee<\/a> also had similar arrests in 2021, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time false allegations about the arrest of a prominent political figure have spread online.
