Wade.<\/p>\n<p>The court said last week that it\u2019s planning to issue decisions on June 13 and 15, without being more specific.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re not in the business of telling people what to do,\u201d longtime activist Nadine Bloch said. \u201cWe are in the business of pointing out the structural violence of the system. If people don\u2019t like other people\u2019s tactics, fix the system. We\u2019re not going to condemn those other tactics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The remark was made in the context of a training day, during which organizers explained to protesters what to do if people showed up and encouraged violence, among other scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you want to do property destruction, do it in secret. If you\u2019re doing it publicly, you\u2019re probably an infiltrator,\u201d Bloch said. \u201cThere\u2019s no condemnation of bringing the system down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another activist, who identified herself as Sadie, said that protest \u201caction groups\u201d can split into \u201cred teams\u201d and \u201cgreen teams\u201d if violence starts. The \u201cred teams\u201d could start violence, while the \u201cgreen team\u201d could provide cover and be \u201ceyes and ears\u201d on the \u201cred team,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Shut Down DC\u2019s main organizer, Patrick Young, suggested that people go and start violence away from the main body of the group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cY\u2019all should go somewhere else and do that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the activists, a man who called himself Rusty, said that he has stolen banners from politicians and that the group will repaint them to use in the protest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf anybody needs a banner, like a nice heavy-duty banner, I\u2019ve been stealing politicians\u2019 banners from all over town,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019ve got white backs, you can spray paint whatever you want on. I\u2019ve probably gotten, like, 10 of them.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4528560\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/06\/12\/IMG_7347.png\"><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-4528560\" src=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/06\/12\/IMG_7347-600x1299.png\" alt=\"Epoch Times Photo\" width=\"600\" height=\"1299\" \/><\/noscript><\/figcaption><\/a> Rusty, an activist working with pro-abortion group Shut Down DC, admits to stealing a banner from a politician in an online message on Signal on June 12, 2022 (Jackson Elliott\/The Epoch Times)<\/figure>\n<p>None of the activists at the meeting called him out for acknowledging the thefts.<\/p>\n<p>Washington authorities have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/washington-ups-police-presence-ahead-of-supreme-court-protests_4528071.html\">said<\/a> that they are stepping up the city\u2019s police presence and are urging visitors not to bring guns.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are increasing our presence to have coverage in neighborhoods and our downtown areas, which includes the activation of civil disturbance unit platoons,\u201d Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/nations-capital-ups-police-presence-ahead-protests-supreme\/story?id=85329721\">said<\/a> at a press conference. \u201cIn addition, we are working closely with our law enforcement, government, and community partners to ensure that all of these events are peaceful and our neighborhoods are safe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The FBI has also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/fbi-warns-it-wont-tolerate-violence-amid-supreme-courts-abortion-ruling_4526130.html\">said<\/a> it will not \u201ctolerate violence, destruction, interference with government functions, or trespassing on government property.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The activist group at the church included 17 activists; leaders said they expected hundreds of people to show up on June 13 to block the entrances to the U.S. Supreme Court building.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 17 activists, 15 were white, and 10 were women.<\/p>\n<p>Activist Hope Neyer told the group that the history of pro-abortion movements is too white and too woman-focused. She said pro-abortion groups now need to include women who claim to be men by dropping language about \u201cwomen\u2019s rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The activists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/protesters-attempt-to-finalize-supreme-court-shutdown-scheme-in-chaotic-meeting_4527541.html\">planned<\/a> to meet at 7 a.m. at Stanton Park, then march down Maryland Avenue to the high court\u2019s building.<\/p>\n<p>Activists at the meeting also discussed how to draw media attention.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re being dragged away, who\u2019s going to watch?\u201d one of the activists said. \u201cThe press. The media. Everyone here needs to have a sound bite. You have a chance to talk to the nation seriously.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 17 protesters practiced marching in the park outside the church. Some pretended to be \u201cpolice\u201d and attempted to \u201carrest\u201d marchers and prevent them from passing through the park.
