at Jefferson Elementary School in the Mount Lebanon School District.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\"><\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The plaintiffs Carmilla Tatel, Stacy Dunn and Gretchen Melton name first-grade teacher Megan Williams in their suit as having violated the Constitution, state law, and district policy by teaching gender ideology in the elementary school class.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The parents&#8217; lawsuit cited the 14th Amendment&#8217;s due process clause as the basis for their parental rights, something that American Federation of Teachers president <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/teachers-union-head-says-parental-rights-bills-are-how-wars-start\">Randi Weingarten previously said<\/a> &#8220;starts wars.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Among the examples listed in the suit, Williams had allegedly said, &#8220;&#8216;parents are wrong&#8217; and parents and doctors &#8216;make mistakes&#8217; when they bring a child home from the hospital,&#8221; all phrases <a href=\"https:\/\/thepostmillennial.com\/the-progressive-left-makes-a-huge-mistake-going-after-the-gop-parents-on-anti-grooming-legislation\">consistent with<\/a> pushing gender ideology on children.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Megan Williams &#8220;began the process of interjecting her own personal life and views into the classroom, explaining that her child had worn an \u2018Elsa dress\u2019 for Halloween&#8221; the suit alleged.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/outraged-parents-lawsuit-alleges-gender-dysphoria-lesson-given-kids-1714899\"><em>Newsweek<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> Williams claims her own child is transgender but for the three parents that &#8220;does not give her the right to impose those views on a captive audience of six- and seven-year-old children.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>Williams allegedly used books such as &#8220;When Aiden Became a Brother&#8221; and &#8220;Introducing Teddy&#8221; to explain how boys can be girls and girls can be boys.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<section data-v-f313b7e6=\"\">\n<p>The parents are seeking a jury trial in federal court and cite that on a constitutional level Willaims&#8217;
