Remember that conversation?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The <em>Examiner<\/em> reported the conversation about the payments between Hunter and his assistant,\u00a0Katie Dodge:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI remember a conversation where I was disappointed that you wanted to pay her the same rate as me,\u201d Dodge said. \u201cBut I am over that. Maybe she told you that but I wasn\u2019t involved.\u201d Dodge also earned $1,500 from Owasco during the Nov. 16, 2018, pay period for 20 hours of work, according to the recovered payroll file.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegardless Katie [that] was if she was working a 40 hour week full time for me,\u201d Biden responded. \u201cI haven\u2019t talked to Lunden in 7 months???????\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell take whatever I pay Lunden and get my s*** straightened out Katie,\u201d Biden added. \u201cWe need to completely abandon this old process and come [up] with a new one. New accounts new record keeping new everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>That Hunter made payments to Lunden in November is of note. Earlier, in March of 2018, Hunter received a $1 million transfer to\u00a0Owasco from CEFC.<\/p>\n<p>According to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/HSGAC_Finance_Report_FINAL.pdf\">report<\/a>\u00a0by the\u00a0Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Senate Finance Committee, Hunter\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/09\/23\/senate-report-hunter-bidens-law-firm-took-nearly-6m-from-chinese-oligarch\/\">accepted<\/a>\u00a0many more millions from CEFC.\u00a0The report details:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On Aug. 8, 2017, CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $5 million to the bank account for Hudson West III. These funds may have originated from a loan issued from the account of a company called Northern International Capital Holdings, a Hong Kong-based investment company identified at one time as a \u201csubstantial shareholder\u201d in CEFC International Limited along with Ye. It is unclear whether Hunter Biden was half-owner of Hudson West III at that time. However, starting on Aug. 8, the same day the $5 million was received, and continuing through Sept. 25, 2018,\u00a0Hudson West III sent frequent payments to Owasco, Hunter Biden\u2019s firm. These payments, which were described as consulting fees, reached $4,790,375.25 in just over a year.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/09\/23\/senate-report-hunter-bidens-law-firm-took-nearly-6m-from-chinese-oligarch\/\">reported<\/a> in 2020 that \u201ca million of the nearly six million transferred to Hunter Biden\u2019s law firm was then refunded, claiming that the payment was related to his firm\u2019s representation of\u00a0Jianming associate Patrick Ho \u2014\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-sdny\/pr\/patrick-ho-former-head-organization-backed-chinese-energy-conglomerate-sentenced-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">convicted<\/a>\u00a0of international bribery and money laundering in 2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-meta d-block d-md-flex align-items-center label-sm mx-n20\">\n<p>In March, Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/29\/gop-senators-reveal-100k-direct-payment-from-chinese-energy-company-to-hunter-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">revealed<\/a>\u00a0a $100,000 direct payment from CEFC China Energy to Hunter Biden in 2004 when Joe Biden was the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hunter\u2019s laptop\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/05\/report-hunter-biden-grand-jury-witness-was-asked-about-the-big-guy\/\">revealed<\/a>\u00a0a proposal that indicates Joe Biden would have made money on the deal with CEFC.\u00a0The proposed plan, sent on March 13, 2017, included \u201c10 held by H for the big guy?\u201d Hunter Biden\u2019s former business partner\u00a0Tony Bobulinski confirmed that the \u201cbig guy\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1321248948439392259?s=20&#038;t=YOlC5I8THoGPl1nRnxp8mw\">refers<\/a> to Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>While Joe Biden has\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/28\/7-times-joe-biden-deflected-denied-involvement-corrupt-family-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>\u00a0at least seven times to have no knowledge of his family\u2019s business dealings, the president has played a\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/09\/11-times-joe-biden-involved-familys-corrupt-business-dealings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">role<\/a>\u00a0in the Biden family business at least 12 times over six years.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden is currently under\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/05\/11\/nyt-report-hunter-biden-tries-to-settle-justice-department-probe-into-tax-fraud-money-laundering\/\">investigation<\/a>\u00a0by Joe Biden\u2019s Justice Department for\u00a0tax fraud, money laundering, and violation of lobbying laws, according to the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>.
